    "Don't you understand/see that?"

No, because I have self-control. If they cut out the best parts of the game (which I have yet to see) and sell it as DLC well tough shit, boycott the company and don't buy the DLC. When there is high quality DLC, developed AFTER the game has launched it is worth it, especially if you enjoyed the game. For example, I bought Lair of the Shadow Broker for Mass Effect 2, considered to be one of the best DLCs ever made (excluding expansions of course) and I have not regretted my decision.

They're companies. Of course they're trying to make more cash, that's the way business works.

Well, im more talking about the "best sellers" like cod and all the kid games, ofc you will find some worthing dlc's, but the current way is pretty much going in a bad direction, that's what i think and as im not buying any DLC's at all i dont feel that i have to say more about this thema :huh?:

Buy whatever you want to buy man.

I'm not saying DLC isn't going in a bad direction, if you've seen Metro: Last Light you'll see that they offer a difficulty mode that they advertised as "The way the game was meant to be played" as DLC. Then you have map packs that cost 15 bucks which is ridiculous.

If you felt it was worth it then congratulations to you, I guess you got a good deal.

The problem is usually more along the lines of games that are being stretched financially to make something that should have been $60 into something that is now $100 because it's really the game + 1-2 DLC that came out ASAP, good or not.

Stretching past $60 has been all that they've tried to do within the past few years in many many ways, whether it's physical incentives that cost cents to make adding $20+ to the price or DLC thrown everywhere.

Can there be good DLC? Surely.
    Is most DLC good? No

Almost all DLC is done piss poor, if it's cheap it's worthless, clothes and accessories, basically a cash shop for a nonMMO. If it's anything that involves a map that could be made even in a day or two it will cost over $5, usually $10-15.

My problem with this is usually that they try to justify it saying X people worked X hours on it, but even if you had 5 people working 5 hours on it getting paid $20/hr you would only need to make $500 to pay for that work and considering that DLC usually sells pretty well they will most likely easily get 500 people to pay for a game if it was a smash hit (like most that get DLC) and already sold tens of thousands of copies. There's profit and then there is attempts at ridiculous prices that seem fair.
"Well $20 is a good meal, why not just buy this DLC?", bad arguments like that lead to prices that make no sense at all. I see no reason that any small aesthetic feature should be more than a dollar or sold in a pack for a lot, almost every small aesthetic feature can be done in 10minutes, 5 when you're working in bulk, if it's a recolor, 30 seconds maybe a minute.

Overall there is very little 'good' DLC, but what DLC have you purchased that you've found worth it?

Scott Pilgrim vs The World The Game DLC where for a couple bucks you got the character Knives and a few more game modes.

Fl0w I bought a pack containing the DLC (new creatures) and I felt paying the extra was worth it.

I went halves on some Black Ops map DLC with a friend, I felt it was amply worth it. I got a lot of mileage out of the new multiplayer maps and zombie map alone and particularly with company.

Call of Duty is the worst example for DLC's..... they are the worst of all man and you take it as a not so bad DLC example lol^^

This thread is called" DLC, what do you think".... or did i read wrong?

So that was what i think to DLC, accept it or not, i dont give a fuck honestly guys... i also bought some cod bo1 maps, but when they brought out cod bo2 i was smart enough to realize what they do to her fans.... It's the same game, same engine just other "graphics" and some smoke everywhere.... srsly, if you like to buy the same game again, do it, but I wont.

  10. Considering the fact that there have been DLC maps at least a game before and there was another CoD game between BO1 and 2, it took you 3 games to realize it was still "the same game" (even thought they wasn't, but who cares about gameplay, only engine matters, am I right?).
As much as "ur view on that is to me retarded xD" you look right here, it's not the end.
Contrary bought maps FOR THE VERY SAME GAME and while you call yourself "was smart enough to realize what they do to her fans", you still think that his " view on that is to me retarded xD", while you basically did the same.
Also Internet forums are actually meant to have stuff discussed on them. Saying " accept it or not, i dont give a fuck honestly guys" is basically like saying "ok u guys are dumb I take my toy shovel and go back home ur all dumb!!!!" while playing in a sandbox.

I should clear out things more, i've not bought them myself infact but my brother did and i played it too..... so i know how it looks there.

And the gameplay for cod didnt change alot, so same enginge same game is pretty much true there.

Also, yes forums are to discuss, that's why i sayd you have to accept what i think or not, and that i dont give a fuck was related to Kouji's smart post, im too lazy to quote always so sorry if it wasnt too much obvious, also i never sayd you guys or contrary are dumb, you think just different about it then i do, so im pretty much not interested in changing ur view for that but i've wanted to share mine.

Now accept what i think or not god damned, that's what this thread is about :huh?:

One of the worst parts of DLC is even when games go on sale, DLC rarely does outside of Steam tbh.
    >CoD
    Everything you said nullified.
Flow is good, I didn't know there was DLC but given how that company operates I'm not surprised their DLC wasn't bad.
Scott Pilgrim I generally see as ass, but GAME MODES are great DLC, so if it was under $10 that seems pretty okay.

I got hours and hours of enjoyment out of that map pack, it was more than worth the $20 or whatever it was. The matter is really simple: if the game is worth the prize then buy it, if the DLC is worth the price then buy it. If it isn't then leave it on the shelf. The issue is that simple.

Yea it usually is, the problem however is when choices impact how games are done overall because of the way that business is done in the gaming world. If DLC shows promise it's going to be accepted as mainstream when given the chance. When removing cheat codes and fun things and instead adding them as DLC showed promise, it started to take on.

It's bullshit as we all know, but the problem is it's not always just leave it on the shelf, sometimes it's pirate it, sometimes it's boycott the company. DLC can be very toxic, and that is why many people dislike it overall.

Also Scott Pilgrim is ass and Jonah Hill > Michael Cera in every conceivable way, dude's not even funny.

Michael Cera has nothing to do with SPvtWtG other than that he was in a movie based on the same comic book series that the game was. I'm surprised you're not a big fan of SPvtWtG what with its art by Paul Robertson and soundtrack by Anamanaguchi.

Both are good artists but I assumed the video game you were talking about was the one that came out around the time of the movie, and I assumed it was based on the movie.

That game looks there almost heavily inspired however by the guys who did Pirate Baby's Cabana Battle, ah was the same guy. Neat.

Guess I'll check it out, surprised they got someone who hadn't worked on games before to do it.
