Ah, the devestating power of a tantrum spiral.
Next time, build walls and spam cagetraps.
Keep a path open for the caravans tough.

Oh, there's plenty of things I COULD have done, but they all would have required prior planning. Moral of story: It doesn't matter how awesome your fort is if it's not well defended. :P

Also God I have an exam on Monday! Better win DF before then, just in case... ^__^

Just throw them in the magma.
I always mod childs to grow up at the age of 4, because people say that they get fucktons of children.
Make sure to keep the parents/relatives in a mist generator room tough.

Everytime I start to read this thread it gives me a headache X3

    Wasting all your time guaranteed.

(well, not wasting, you'll learn alot.)

    having some adventure trouble.
I got a bag for my slade colossus, but i cant put stuff in the bag.

    EDIT:
    Solved.
And *birchen chest*s make epic weapons against mummies.

    EDIT2:
    RIP
    Goblin right upper leg
35 kills by Miauw Fortunetrampled the Confident Savage

Dam, it was a good weapon.
Dragonfire is quite dangerous with those things, but it was neccesary to deal with all the zombies.

    I.

I ACCIDENTLY accused the law-giver of being a night creature.
    Guess what?
    HE WAS.
Now i cant get a quest from him and i'll have to punch his brain.

Hmm, looks like i triggered a loyalty cascade.
He instantly frenzied on the exalted venirion, wich is a old dwarf.
But now he's just standing around, not giving a fuck.

This thread needs to rise again. Dwarf Fortress is an awesome game. Right now I am a dwarf who got both of his arms ripped off by a hydra. :)

  11. I just completed a trek halfway across a Very High Savagery and Very High beasts world. Was difficult; only got two injuries- a broken ear and smashed toe. I did well considering I had no armour. Finished up with pretty decent skills too! Legendary +1 Archer, Legendary+1 Thrower, Proficient Swimmer, Skilled Ambusher were just a few.

Playing as an intelligent slade colossus can cause loyalty cascades. (probably the megabeast tag that triggers it)

I'm waiting for the next release to play again; ground work for armies moving about on the map combined with way more complex fighting moves (guy punches you, you grab his fist and start wrestling him).

Toady always does such amazing work.

  14. I eagerly await DF 1.0. At the current rate of completion we should see it in about thirty years.

In other words, future generations of gamers living on the surface of Mars will play DF 1.0 while waiting for their cup of coffee to be beamed to them from the surface of earth via satellite.

  16. Indeed! I think we should start up a KAG Community fort. Who's up for that?

    Sure, it would be great to get me back in this game, as i'm suffering from a severe case of "im-waiting-for-the-new-stuff-in-the-next-release-itis". 11 versions in a row ;_;

  18. What was the last version you played, Miauw? i started on 31.03 and I'm using 34.08 as my current one.

Currently i have 34.11, played a few adventurers on it, but not much else.
    And i started on 31.12, i think.

  20. I'm currently (with some help) modding a tree creature that's a Dwarf Fortress version of the Gympie-Gympie tree. I plan to make it easily as dangerous. An interaction that causes a syndrome to be spread near it, mimicking the dangerous neurotoxins. First comes extreme pain, later comes death.
