This thread is a place where to discuss about game music and themes.

My personal favourite game music has come from the 3rd gen pokemon games.
Like route 113, Mt.Pyre peak and the team aqua themes.

  3. Ahh, video game music, I love it ^^
I have a huge urge to flood this with hundreds of soundtracks... I'll try not to overdo it that much xD

There are so many great arrangements of this one on YouTube, it's hard to pick a favourite, but this one does it justice and I find myself listening it the most x)

I'm gonna put a list of all my favorites, not sure if in particular order or not.
    • Legend of Zelda (all music, Koji Kondo is probably one of my favorite composers still living)
    • Fire Emblem ( the music from FE: Awakening in particular)
    • Xenoblade Chronicles (Most notably the songs that made it into Smash Wii U)
    • Monster Hunter
    • Metal Gear Solid 3 (haven't beaten that game yet, but I've listened to the soundtrack way too much, I need to revisit the game after I beat MGSV)
    • Vindictus (mostly Keaghan and ancient dragon)

A notable mention is Tales of the Abyss, most of the good tracks are re-instrumentations/remixes of this song. "Mirrors" and "The meaning of birth" are my two favorite from that game, but as a whole, they sit below this list.

Add Tales of Zestiria to my previous list of games with good music. From a Kickass opening (English and Japanese) to some other really great pieces (like this, this, this, and especially THIS ONE) I really enjoy the soundtrack of this game. The entire Soundtrack is worth a listen (better yet, just play the game if you enjoy jrpgs) if you have the time.

    Yay for necro-ing!
Xenoblade Chronicles X has an amazing soundtrack (Also, some pretty damn good gameplay, RIP any other "Tab-targeting" games). There's only 2, maybe 3 tracks that I don't like, the third one is growing on me though (I still just can't bring myself to like the NLA themes though). It's composed by Hiroyuki Sawano, who also composed the music for anime like: Shingeki no Kyojin, Kill la Kill, and Owari no Seraph, so I'm pretty sure you all might be familiar with some of his previous works.
