Before the Youtube videos you linked to didn't show up so there was just giant spaces in the games. And I agree to make the the Bundle in a Box Bundle they were thinking very inside the box because they didn't try anything fancy and knew that fitting more games into the box is more important than thinking outside of the box and offering laptop skins.

Also the Polish Bundle is on of course everyone probably knows that because it is on the Steam frontpage.
$15
Anomaly: Warzone Earth [if you don't already have 10 copies]
Call of Juarez [meh]
Hard Reset Extended Edition [worth it for this]
Two Words II to compliment Two Words from the Be Mine bundle [and this probably]
Zombe Driver HD [not this though]

Humble THQ Bundle added T-T-T-Titan Quest and Red Fraction Armageddon Path to War (I think that is DLC)
for the good folks that beat the average which is still under $6! So it is clearly asshat gamers for THQ being in debt and not anything else.

--- merged: Dec 7, 2012 12:26 AM ---

Also this is pretty cool it has RISTAR! [SEGA bundle]

--- merged: Dec 12, 2012 4:42 AM ---

The THQ bundle has Dawn of War added to the beat the average games

Also Indie Gala released a new bundle that is pretty meh.
That is probably why the current top contributor paid $5! :p

The Whisper bundle $1 5 days left
Edna & Harvey: The Breakou (DRM Free)
Airline Tycoon Deluxe (DRM Free)
BEAT $3.99 AND GET ALSO:
The Whispered World (Steam)
Cargo! The Quest For Gravity (Steam)

it is $3 for all four games if you have bought the full Gala 11 bundle

--- merged: Dec 19, 2012 5:24 AM ---

It is XMas 2.0 today according to Indie Royale
6 days left
I feel like there are other bundles out at the moment but I haven't had internets and haven't been paying attention.
At the very least there is a Crazy Machines mini bundle on Indie Gala but mini bundles are like Zunes--not worth posting about.

1. Colour Bind for: steam (pc), windows, desura
2. Offspring Fling! for: steam (pc, mac), windows, mac, desura (Incl. Bonus Game: Namiko)
3. Serious Sam Double D for: steam (pc), windows, desura
4. Serious Sam: The Random Encounter for: steam (pc), windows, desura
5. Puzzle Bots for: steam (pc), windows, desura
6. Little Kingdom for: windows, desura

Don't forget IndieGameStand, new indie game every 96 hours, pay what you want (1$ at least to unlock Desura key).

Now you can get Reprisal. If you're old enough to remember old DOS Populous (god game which was inspiring Black & White) - Reprisal is its indie reincarnation.

Copied from Rock Paper Shotgun forums (http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/forums/showthread.php?7760-Steam’s-Xmas-Sale-’12-–-Inevitable-illogical-investments&p=233227&viewfull=1#post233227):

Steam’s Xmas Sale ’12 – Inevitable illogical investments

Sale rules:
1. Leave it to the last day of the sale to buy something you want unless it is a daily or flash deal. This reduces the chances of you missing out on further savings.
2. Before you buy a game, ask yourself if you’ll actually play the game. A game that is bought for 75% off but never played is a waste of 100%.
3. Make sure the game matches your value, not necessarily the price given. Remember, a game will always be cheaper in the future, or at the very least the same price. Given how long it takes to get to these prices, what are a few more months of potential waiting?

Also consider this incredibly important point:
Do you have a backlog? How about how many active games? Chances are yes and “quite a few”. With that in mind, are you actually going to be playing the games you get any time soon? If not, it’s not really worth getting them right away when you have other things you’ve already invested in (which in turn could shape what you want to purchase).

Useful links:
How Long To Beat – Users of the site enter the time it took them to complete and the time is then averaged. It can be used as a rough guide to let you know how long it’d take to complete a potential game if you’re concerned about length.

Steam Game Sales – Compares prices between various sites and Steam to find the best price. Also lets you see the games heavily discounted that are otherwise not on a time-determined sale.

CheapShark - Alternative to Steam Game Sales. I quite like the presentation of this. Also, it has a shark, which surely makes it stand-out above the rest.

RPS’s Advent Calendar – A potential buying guide for the best games of the year, as determined by the rulers of Castle Shotgun.

If you think there are other useful links, please let me know and I’ll add them in here.

General thread stuff:
1. Please ask about games you’re interested in. There’s a whole forum out there of people, many of whom are likely to have played the game you’re thinking of getting.
2. Feel free to post impressions of games that are on sale so that people can see what they’re getting involved with.
3. Keep general bargains from other sites in the bargains thread.
3a. Unless it’s because they’re doing a better offer than something on Steam. Amazon US seem to be attempting to price-match (or beat) Steam, so look out for that too.

Remember, if you're buying Steam Sale games, and you're not gonna play them right away, buy them as GIFTS and store them in your INVENTORY!
That way you can always trade it on later if you decide you didn't want to play it (ermergerd) or if you get that game as part of a pack/bundle later (since Steam doesn't give you extra copies of games you already have. Obviously this doesn't work for e.g. 4-packs, as you cant store them in your inventory without activating one yourself, but I'm sure you'll survive.

Agreed that is always good advice also remember to then gift those games in your inventory to me. :p
Also at Thanksgiving when Zeno Clash was 99 cents I meant to fill up my inventory with it but I forgot so now will work. I actually check the price yesterday but I must have clicked some other game that starts with Z and not realized because it wasn't 99 cents. :(
Steam sale makes me happy even though I haven't actually bought anything yet and just realized I missed the LA Game Space bundle because I move like molasses. :(
Also does anybody like Helena the 3rd or Ensign-1? I'll probably gift them to you to celebrate Printer Toner day or something.

Also KFY is on pay what you want on Indie Game Stand! It is a kind of cool game but clearly needs some more work to polish it and in the past when I tried it there was almost nobody online so go buy it and then fill up the servers. (Or just go play Soldat. :p)

"We don't accept flash games".
What? But Abobo's Big Adventure is on Newgrounds and is a flash game?
What's even the point of downloading a game that can be found online...

Indie Gala The Magicka is live!
And finally the bundlin is back. I felt so uncomfortable for those few post Steam sale days free from bundling I couldn't take it without having any bundles to comfort me.
You Are Empty
Trine
beat $5.96 for
Cities in Motion
Deponia
Magicka
Painkiller
beat average bonuses
Magicka 'nam
and two unknowns

Also the new Indie Royale bothers me because I have everything but want it for the music but it seems stupid to get a game bundle just for the music. :( The same was true of the previous Indie Royale bundle. So sad am I.
