Well, this event was a flop for me. I got banned every few minutes for hacking.
Hey, everyone who played in Guards Vs The World;
Thanks for the massive loads of fun given to me! :)
It was fun fighting alongside you all!
Also, thank you for hosting another late night edition of GvW.
To the guards, Thanks for playing with us! It was fun to have an all out battle with you guys and taking time to host this.
To the premiums, thanks for fighting for us! It was fun to help you guys to victory.
To Geti, thanks for creating the game! I'm sure your sock puppet agree's :p it was fun having you in the battle too.
I'm looking forward to next week! The European Event :)
Tonight we brought victory on the battlefield as we stood alongside each other as brothers.
Swords clashed, arrows filled the skies, and fortresses were built.
Slash by slash, blood was spilled.
Arrow by arrow, we pierced their hearts.
Stone by stone, their castles fell.
Let if forever be know, the premiums will stand up against the guards at any time.
And next time they call out from out their Ivory Towers that we shall be slaughtered;
We shall say "nay!" (or Ni if you prefer) and kick their asses,
as we show them what it really means to fight for
King Arthur's Gold.
Meh, when you're utnumbered 6:1, it ain't hard to loose :D
This song works for this in so many ways!
:argh: Daaaaaamnit I missed it. I bet it was amazing. >.< I stayed up all night previously playing skyrim and then slept right through the event. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
OK. Whatever man...
damb! i couldnt play games and missed it
You not missed it, it was a game for premium..
I think a lot of people felt like this. I don't believe that the game's current kick/ban and server browser system can handle this kind of event without making a lot of people feel frustrated and out of the loop.
Yeah was fun. I played around 4 rounds. Luckily i didnt get ping banned. We were like 30 against 10. They had no chance. They fought well as guards should. Maybe put a limit in players so it wont be too umbalanced. Like a maximum ratio of 2/1.
Thanks for games.
After hearing about the outcome, and the stacked odds, maybe it would be more fair if Team Premium had the same unit count as Team Guard; that way, against a solid defence, suicide charges are a less viable tactic for Team Preem.
Maybe we could make this a yearly event?
You act like we we were trying to attack you. We were quivering in our ivory towers, just trying not to get baseraped.
But yeah was fun; I'd like to do it again, ladies?
aawww man, we pwnd you
Hehe :p I was just making a comical speech about it, but at the same time in the spirit of Guards Vs The World. (hence the reference to Monthy Phyton.) But yes, I would really wish to have another go at it apart from next week. Maybe settle the odds a little so it's more of a fair fight, where skill is more implemented than numbers. I hope that by that time, I too will have grown into a better player. :)
The mass archer/admin-powers round was ultimate-lulzyness and probably my favourite match in the whole event :D
Yes. This. 1 Million times.
If it were weekly, it would get old, and quick. I would like a bi-monthly type of thing. Every two months, there will be a signup sheet 2 weeks prior to the event, everyone that signs up will either get a match slot and a password. Ex. I sign up after there's a fair bit of sign ups, so I get match #3.
Now, if there are too many people signed up, there could be a "names from a hat" type of a deal, this way it'll be random (AND COMPLETELY FAIR) as to who will be in server for whichever match they are assigned. Anyone that breaks the rule and tries to play out of order will be instabanned and loses their chance to play.
I'd be more than happy to organize something like this if we ever do decide to do this again.
Separate names with a comma.
