How people feel about this new testbuild an Insiders Look

    E is to drop it closer to you while F is to throw it.

    You can just press F twice.

    And 2 arrows per harvest isn't too fast for archers. You forget that that's their only means of attack, so it's reasonable.

    I played some knight in the East Coast Arena today. It was a lot of fun excepteveryone keeps teleporting everywhere for me. MLC theorizes this is due to my fluctuating ping and generally unstable connection. This may be some other people's problem too. I think it's pretty great and skill based, especially with the addition of the shield bash.

    I honestly miss the old building restrictions. They added a nice depth and more immersion. I see too many glitched floating ladders now and too many sky ladders now. At least the old skyladders had to make engineers find way to bypass the restrictions, nowadays its become an archer fuck fest. With the abundance of arrows archers are like german machine gunners mowing down the allied troops on D-day.
    I like the fix to the infinite bomb glitch, but i hate that it takes away healing. I have to change classes to heal and sometimes during the class change rotation it skips a class (most likely from lag however I would still like to present the problem).

    My overall opinion is that this new build adds many addition functions that I like. However the giant knockback from the knights, the charge up attack (a combo consisting of a jab + slash), fall stun (every server is doing it so I will temporarily include), and the seemingly random knight combat will take me some time to get used to.

    I know there are many bugs yet I feel this game just keeps on getting more and more interesting. I very much disliked the combat system but it was still fun to play with friends.

    I have too yet to try this; but please, make black fog at least as an option.

    In test, it made me to want to puke sometimes, with all honesty.

    I am also experiencing this. And as someone else said I think comjak, sometimes bombs just won't get thrown. Bombs are now more danger to me than my enemies, and that is completely sad, considering before i'd have to use skill to get them into an area where they will explode right behind the enemy, now it's completely luck based, same as knight combat. Lag removed? Yeah right, I see more teleporting in lots of knight fights than I did in the previous build, and this is when I had 33 ping! (even my teammate told me I had 66) so many people agree knight fights are completely unpredictable, it's so borked. Pressing F twice to throw a bomb compared to having that E to drop removes a lot of bomb control we had previously, so no I resent that comment Sani, removing E to drop is very bad indeed, because sometimes you need to just gently drop it over an edge, rather than throw it strongly. If it's just glitchy, then thats still a disadvantage over the last build where bomb control was smooth and responsive.

    I think the unlagging made lag a lot worse.

    I agree that the lag is a bit worse than in the previous build (was even better in the build before the previous one!) but I still feel this build fun. Shouldn't we anyways be discussing this in the appropiate thread?

    Only minor dislikes here, I don't like the archer always charging, I liked to be able to charge it up and put it away if it wasn't needed anymore.

    na thats no real thing which is bad, just trow arrow under you right click and earn the shot back, the constant charging is actually now way better, you got the ability to time shots way better now.

    aswell i dont can agree on the more-lags part, i feel as archer the anti-lag-coding very well, arrows hit now laggers way better, the knight combat is just wierd now, random stab/charges everywhere, people get teleported arround by shields and charges knocking them back... thats the only real dislike i got after several houres playing.

    i wonder how long the dude with 377 kills played, when i joined he was on 150+ already^^

    In spirit of and old KAG development tradition, outpost resupply has once again been disabled to some extent.


    But I must agree, the build was not ready.

    As Loki said, lag doesn't seem to affect arrows too much anymore, but it affects knight combat a lot.

    Yes, I thought this was a problem with my keyboard having sticky keys or something, but I get the same thing! Very annoying. Bombs are constantly slipping out of my hand, whether it gets thrown the moment I press F or if I get hit (which is fair). And yeah, cycling classes behaves very strangely, where pressing E once makes me cycle 2 classes over.

    Must be some new event handling code that's somehow registering a double key press??
