And that's why people end up being fined more than it costs. Because they don't buy it.

Actually, until they buff up the internet piracy laws, most people don't get fined unless they're really stupid about where they get these *cough cough* never ending free trials.

Or if they do something that warrants the police search their computers, in which case they usually have a lot more to worry about than pirated programs.

    (Note: It's usually kiddie porn)

    GraphicsGale > Photoshop > Paintshop Pro > GIMP > Paint.NET > MS Paint

    Most other things don't matter.

Don't buy GraphicsGale, don't buy Photoshop. The GG website is mostly scammy feeling, wouldn't touch it with a 49 1/2 foot pole. Photoshop is too expensive for it's use.

Paint.NET sometimes refuses to save with a transparent background.
Paintshop PRO is inferior to Photoshop, but better in animation it would seem.

Photoshop CS3 and up suck some serious ass compared to Photoshop 7 (BEST for spriting), CS2 ( Pretty friggin' okay).

MS Paint is classic, free, you already have it, and great for beginners.

I hope you don't actually believe that people get fined for this, I know so many people who don't 'buy' it and have not 'bought' it for years, since almost 98 SE days. No problems baby.
