Ask questions about general spriting techniques and other such things here.
What are the general spiriting techniques
any good programs for it?
Paint.net, aesprite or paintshop
Or GIMP. GIMP's basically a free version of Photoshop, though it's somewhat different. It's how I make all my stuff, and it works pretty well.
How do you make one? Do you just edit the original textures? Where are the original textures?
You can just edit them, they are in your KAG entities folder.
Ok, thanks a lot!
What's the spriting colour palette? I heard there were specific colours you had to use.
You don't have to use them but if you are sticking to geti's style it is advised you stay to the colours and shading he has used to make your sprites look as authentic as possible.
I know, I was just asking if there was a palette with those colours on it.
I've wondered about this as well, Khan. The best I can think of is just to wing it. I would certainly make things a lot easier if there was a general sprite palette though.
Have you seen the skin tone palette and the team colours palette?
How are character sprites edited?Like do I need to edit files in .as or .ini or just place the new sprites if my sprites are ex:taller or fatter ...
Do you mean the size of something particular or just the sprite generally?
I mean if I wanna replace the knight sprites with my own...And the ones I made are slightly taller and and thinner...Is it normal?
go to the following folder Base/Entities/Charachters/Knight where you will find KnightMale.png and KnightFemale.png among other files.
Replace your sprites with those files. Your spritesheets must have the same name and it has to be the same filetype (a PNG saved in 8bits for the charachter ones if i remember well, with transparency).
Making a backup of the whole Base folder is a must if you're going to modify the original files
I think it is defined in the .cfg
Hi, I want to post my robot skin pack. Its small, but I have no post rights
- May I continue with this skin work?

new version on https://forum.kag2d.com/resources/robotic-skin-pack.203/updates
you can make a resource with your texture pack here:
You can upload the files, describe the resource, attach images etc. Make sure you post it as a Classic resource.
Separate names with a comma.
