    Sorry for the confusion but, how many 'rounds' will there be in these prelims? 8?
    And then I assume the top 8 will move forward to the real thing.

    Okay, so the 5 rounds of prelims knock us down to 8 left at which point we do quarter finals->semi finals->finals?

    for a total of 8 rounds?

    I have decided that at the end of Round 3, ALL 16 teams will progress to elimination (Preliminaries were just for ranking).

    That makes it seem like all our work beating others was pointless. I don't want to skip straight to elimination, that doesn't solve anything with time. I just want to stop spacing crap out so much, give people a week to do their match, no more no less and starting moving to the next round ASAP.

    I've been ready to do these back to back day to day, but instead I'm waiting a week or two or three PER round, which is just ridiculous.

    Agreed. We want to make it to the 5th round and show who the bosses are.
    I don't think that changing it to elimination at this point will encourage people to play with greater commitment than they do now.

    Luigi you're not taking into account a lot of people have exams and revision to do as well as coursework. Time wise the tournament couldn't possibly be worse, first christmas and new year got in the way and now exams. Better would have been to put it in the summer hols when everyone is off or at least the start of easter.

    Difference of timezone is [one of] the major issues here,for example.
    20:00 My time,everyone except me available.
    15:00 Everyone except some teammate available etc.
