contrary to popular belief, Genghis Khan was neither a barbarian nor a mindless killer. Having conquered all of continental asia, he reigned over diplomacy and peace, having advisors from all the different faiths, enforcing his culture on no-one, only spreading all the different cultures and mixing them, giving people a different a more open view of their once-enemies.
This is not what you were doing, you were killing, stealing and wrecking, without any moral code.
Besides, this is not just about realism, it is also about giving people a good time, and the majority of people I have talked to on this server enjoyed relative peace and roleplay, and I am pretty sure that most players on that server do not enjoy full-scale all-out meaningless war between all factions, which is what you are providing them.

 

People going bandits should be banned. Really. They are going to deathmatch some other races, then giant scale wars are appearing due to some idiot(s) having fun from it.

As someone said on server: "Bandit is like begging for be person who can deathmatch everyone without any rules".

This is getting out of hand... I thought players would be considerate and use common sense but I see that there are some rotten apples who keep ruining the fun of those who actually attempt to RP and not kill each other senselessly. I also understand that some people enjoy playing bandits but really... all I've seen was complete slaughter and the bandits moving from killing the elves to orcs and then finally dwarves for the sole reason because they are bandits. I can't see that as good RP, especially as humans. By human laws such individuals should be hanged but it seems that most who join the humans do it simply because they wish to cause havoc and destruction and nothing else.

So...

I'm gonna try and make a whitelist and ask VanHuek to change the password soon.

Sorry but it seems that the only way to make this a RP server and not a free for all bloodlust Deathmatch is by enforcing the rules even more and be picky about whom we allow to play.

I see no other way...

 

Well I offically quit your server. I can no longer deal with admins/mods who are when ppl ask for help just ignore it, They dont even obey the rules. When others break the rules they do nothing about it. I had an elve greif my base which not one admin did a thing about, had a dwarf come in aka ASUmagic and blow up my house and still no admin did anything with all the elves screaming for an admin to help. instead all the dwarfs had to vote kick him because the admin didnt do shit. Also had humans building/blocking the spawn which nothing wasdone about.


Every war on the server has been started becasue of either 1of 5 ppl. the war always ends with a moderator just starting a new map. Instead of a moderator doing something they just do a new map and the whole thing repeats.

I just played a game where EJ chose to be a human bandit and attacked everyone. Not long after all the humans were bandits and there was no longer any peace.I try to be peaceful as much as I can but when Im trying to explain my self as being peaceful i am quickly killed.(No one obeys any of the rules and I was threated for reading the rules but not knowing what OOC meant) While others ran killing ppl for no reason weather a chat bubble was up or not.The server needs mods/admins that actully do stuff and follow the rules. A 3 or 4 warning system is useless. Ive never even seen it actully been used. To be honest Ive never even seen an admin kick someone. Well i actully saw it used once but like I said did nothing and the player continue to attack randomly and was not kicked or anything.

EDIT: Raelian I think that is an amazing idea. I also think that 1 mod should always be online/ingame if you leave it as is.

 

I feel obligated to say that I do not attack random people. I try to target builders or people with stockpiled materials since they have resources and money.

Even mountain bandits plan things.

Also my apologies but atm I still don't know how the feck to freeze, kick or ban someone. Yes I'm a noob in that regard.

Still... as much as RPing a bandit makes sense I've seen it make more harm then good. Soccerstar9 is correct in his statement, wars have been started because of one or two people wishing to play bandits and it ruined the fun of most on the server. If that is the case then I prefer to add "banditry" as a ban-able act. Sorry but it seems to cause more harm then good.(once I find out how the bloody arse hell to ban people, still working on that... derp )

 

Good im happy that you see it my way. btw its starsoccer9 lol. I really just dont that that the 4 warning system is good at all. Maybe 1 warning and then kick/ban. 4 warning basiclly allows someone to destory half the world and nearly start WW3. I think a whitelist is the ebst idea. Then allow people to PM you to be added. If they do grief/do something bad then they are put in the blacklist
