Ok. I'm gonna give you a quest, which will, unless stopped, bring you massive power. I'm just working on the thingys now.

Having no knowledge of your past, you are unable to respond. The man continues before you can stutter out what would have been your response: "Do not worry. I know of your past, but it wouldn't benefit you, or indeed, anyone else for you to recall it. Rather, you have a more pressing matter to attend to. I have arranged a meeting with Geti, who is visiting the city, in the palace; with your pleasure, I would ask that you join me."
His firm words suggest that he is not going to give you any choice in the matter.
"It would be of great honour if you, my friend, would meet me in the hall of the palace at noon; I understand you have lived here long enough to know the route, it should be quite simple for you. I shall see you there. [He looks away, motioning to the girl who brought you to the room] Be kind enough to show our guest the exit, I'm sure he would like to collect his belongings from where he was staying beforehand."
You find yourself upon the street outside of an imposing house. It is mid-morning.

Finally, I've arrived at this pathetic slum of a village called Wetherford! According to the notes of the great magician Arnaghan, an ancient relic said to possess unheard of magical powers was hidden somewhere in this village. But where? The peasants won't know a damn thing. Wait, this... artifact could not have been hidden on the surface, a mindless serf would have found it long ago. That's it! It must be somewhere underground! Perhaps the catacombs will reveal some clues as to its whereabouts...

 

I need Darksteel to respond so I can progrss the narrative.

 

Also, I want to ensure I can get an update up tomorrow. I'm off to Paris until Friday from Tuesday, meaning I won't be able to update until Saturday.
