I go to England for 1 week, so if I ever win, I could not claim my prize until next Saturday (already I have to win)

Lol, the ultimate stalemate

 

Sorry guys, been taking some unexpected extra shifts at work which made me mostly too tired to go through all the maps, the ratings are coming asap!

Alright the results are in!

I've asked two other people whom i trust to be able to rate the maps without prejudice to judge with me, the combined score is the final score of this contest. We all made a top 5 out of all the beautiful submissions, the first place in each list gets 5 points, the second place 4 and so on.

Amestri's ratings:

4- secret dreams

i chose em because theyre creative in their own way, jungle has a jungle and well placed plants n shit

Elionne's ratings:

1- Secret Dreams: just beautiful (but a lot of water)
2- Salmon: perfect for matchs
3- Power: really pretty but except the flag everything is flat, stalemate ?
4- Tongas: looks fun for 5v5, maybe spaw a bit too « dangerous »
5- Fish: really simple but effective

Cobara's ratings:

1- Gnomegate

I really loved this one, the flag might be a bit too close to spawn, but otherwise its multiple layers without easy balli spam, fairly simple but not too boring, imo this was what i was looking for

2- Hillagmus

This map was alot of fun to play, it seems the more simple maps are very effective. This one was a bit more interesting than the Really basic simpleflatgmus to me because of the extra layer.

3- fish

This one plays really well, and looks like something off of the official servers (before the last rotation). The mid does feel a bit bland to me tho.

4- Crab Castle

I loved the crab maps, abracadaver too. However, this one seems most playable in 5v5 - 8v8 to me. front flags are a bit close to red border.

5- Earthquakes

Really something different from the rest of the maps, quite unique, the top island is too high in my opinion tho, keg and bali spam becomes too easy and powerful. I do like the multiple layer effect.


Notable mentions

Abracadaver: would be really great if it didnt flood every game.
Power and Secret Dreams: All equally beautiful and stalematey. With your permission id like to edit them to make em more playable :)
Arko's maps: Were surprisingly fun to play, but werent as pretty as some of the other maps :(

So, on to the final results! We had a clear winner, but we had 4! maps placing second. Therefore I'll give advantage to the maps that were named in their top five by more than 1 judge, and then advantage based on the highest position on a list.

Clearly I should have won.

 

Im sorry, your work was clearly of such a high standard it could not be rated on the same level as any of the other maps. To keep the contest fair I have conciously chosen to disregard it to give the other people a shot at actually winning. Had I rated your map it clearly wouldve won 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize, and I thought this would be a little unfair to the labours of the other participants. Therefore I have chosen to go with multiple, lesser maps.
