Home button opens it on Windows

 

hmm. I have windows 8 though......

 

Bro its easy just press that fn button + the right arrow to open up the console(if you dont have a Home button like me).
or if you have the Home button in your keyboard then just press it

 

fn? never heard of that, and by right arrow do you mean RMB or literally the right arrow? and I do have a home button but i'm on windows 8, so yeah.

 

if you have a home button then just use it.
and by saying rightarrow i mean it litteraly not RMB (I have no home button in my computer and that replaces it )

 

Okay, but, whats fn do you mean one of the 12 f buttons?

 

Ok bro sorry for the late reply I will try to explain it to you,look at this pic (I took it from my own desktop and edited it):

The one in the Red color is The "fn" button (you can zoom the pic to see it more clearly)
also look at those fn buttons on other computer modelsHERE or HERE.
To make it more clear, those fn buttons where made for those computers without a numberpad tab (as you could see in the pic I uploaded I have no numberpad so this fn button to replace those numberpads (which includes page up,page down and Home button ) also if you press fn+ one of the f12 it changes brightness,volume,controles the wifi,mutes the PC and you could even use it to shut it down .

Thank you VERY much for the help, but I'm quite afraid my keyboard doesn't have a fn key, apparently the designers were nice enough to put a bunch of other useless buttons though

I guess he just fixed his problem ,I think he knows exactly were is the Home button located but.He just wanted to understand what does the "fn"button does (since it wasnt included in his computer) so sending a pic for his keyboard wont help him am I right @J-man2003 ?

 

Yeah, and on the pics you sent me fn was highlighted in some way anyways, I have a home button but as I recalled i'm using windows 8.

As you can see, no fn key.

 

the problem isnt that you are using a w8 or w7 just press HOME button in game and the blue consol will show up

guys I have a question too,if anyone could help me I will really appreciate that :) my question is "How to save a map in-game?(in beta of course)" I tried using "savemap" in the console but it looks like it isnt working :( so any idea?

I don't think you can on the release version, but you can in classic.

 

I know that I can save in classic but is there anyway to save a map in the beta or is it impossible? :/

Coincidence, cause on the wiki I was looking for a certain console command (the one to change your name, if you know it plz PM me it since it would be off-topic here.) and never found it, but there was a "savemap" command on there, it said it was broken currently, although the wiki is stupidly out of date.

 

yes J_man I tried that too but that command wont even work I will PM you if I found any news :)
