So this thread is to discuss anything and everything mounts!


After the announcement of the lancer class and mounts I was just wondering:
Do you want mounts in the game?
What mounts do you want in game?
What's your dream mount?
Should all classes be aloud mounts or just melee or range?
Any info on if there will be mounts or where the devs have mentioned mounts would also be appreciated.

I think it's not really a case of if we get mounts, but more of a case of there being any variety to the mounts other than a horse. Because if i don't get to ride an armadillo into combat i'm gonna be pretty pissed.

 

Well I would like to see mounts and it seems like a logical thing to add.

So what are your thoughts? My thoughts are that mounts can be a nice addition to KAG, especially on the adventure/overworld maps. Those maps will be a bit bigger, so I think it would only be useful. If there are any going to be added, they should be automatically be able to step over 1 tile blocks ( so you don't have to jump with the mount every time the landscape's height goes up. )

Yes I do, they will be a nice addition to KAG and especially the overworld/adventure mode.

What mounts do you want in game?


Well, to start with, I would love to see horses and different horse breeds. Fast horses, horses with more HP etc.

What's your dream mount?

Well you know, I actually like horses the best as a "dream mount" they give the nicest feeling and it suits KAG best I believe. But who knows? Perhaps there will be others that will be just as cool!

Should all classes be aloud mounts or just melee or range?

We should allow them all. Give the user the freedom if they want to use one or not.

 

Do you want mounts in the game?
Yes, I do. I think they will be use full in overworld/adventure mode. Also because they will spice combat up a bit.

What mounts do you want in game?
Well Horses seem to be the obvious one. Then maybe a ram and the idea of a giant zombie chicken comes to mind.

What's your dream mount?
I would love to have a Squirtle to ride. But I know that isn't realistic and would break immersion in the game. But hay one can dream.

All classes, but maybe make it more accessible toward melee.

That's been said before in the 1st post. Maybe you should back up your claims of there definitely being mounts with a little proof say where the devs have said there will be in the game or hinted at it. I would love to know what reason everyone has for being so adamant they will be in the game. (Don't take this in a bad way I'm just curious)

 

Geti has mentioned in a blog post how the upcoming Lancer class will require a mount to attack.

A mechanical turtle that shoots out rainbows out of its bum like a rocket when its flies. And when it opens it's mouth, it fires out explosive small midgets!

Melee only; Have it so archers can't fire from a mount, they can hide in their trees for all i care.

 

Well since a lancer requires a mount to attack

Im pretty sure it will be lancer only, unless they're usable as a fast transport kinda thing

I wouldn't mind mounts nothing sounds more satisfying then blowing up some guy riding an ostrich (yes I want ostrich mounts)

Mules, Battlehorses, Panthers (maybe), and of course, bison.

A Bear.

Different classes should have different mounts. E.G, Miner gets a donkey or mule or something to lug more materials across the battlefield, while a Lancer would get a battle-horse.

All classes can get mounts considering if this is over world there should be some feasible way of travel

 

i originally said no cause then it might be a bit weird...
What? lancer require horse to attack that is so stupid D: lancer should be able to not require horse but are much slower without horse.
