Need help from a web designer/coder

    I am trying to make a website and have only made some divs to see how the site would look. I am trying to make a nice menu at the side of my website using jQuery for animations BUT, my jQuery does not work. I have a separate jQuery and CSS files and they are in the same folder. Linked them all up but it still does not work. The CSS works though.

    PS: The jQuery does not work in HTML file either.
    PS2: Using Google Chrome.
