Need Help Testing 200 Person Server:Starsoccer9's Big Server

    Well a similar example is Andriod. They Release the source code for each andriod version as they are working on a newer and better one. There is also a game I used to play that was similar to minecraft but 2d and they would make a new game and then they would release the old source code

    Android is not a game, has an entirely different business model and is owned by one of the wealthiest companies in the world.

    I know andriod isnt a game but I am just saying that it is a simialr example. Also the game I was talking about in my other post is called klunk I think

    You're thinking of clonk. It was not open sourced, the older games were made free and then an independent team of players decided to make an open source clone project called openclonk.

    No it wasnt clonk I know that game it had a simialir name but it was differnt

    Okay, so one project that I haven't heard of has done it. I still don't think your argument is strong and we're not likely to open source the game for a while - if we move onto another project after KAG we'll think about it because we're nice like that, but not while we're developing it.
