    The removal of build restriction was a fatal mistake in my opinion. Now everyone is abusing it to make skybridges and while yes you can't jump off of them, they make archers even more deadly for all. It evens out when the bridge is made only of ladders but when the drawbridges are used you are left with nothing to counter other than a catapult and even that is costly since you need to build it high enough to hit the damn thing while under a rain of bombs and arrows. I don't mean to complain but this decision was just BAD all around. Either give archers fire arrows so we can burn them down or make it so only ladders can be used for skybridges so the risk of getting knocked off is not cancelled by the cheap use of drawbridges.

    Yeah I saw that too yesterday in a test server

    EDIT: Alright, now I've played it for a bit longer and here are my thoughts:
    -The knight combat is fun
    -I like that I don't have to stand in front of a tree as archer for hours, though the harvest could be a slight bit slower
    -Most of the graphics great
    -No more pussy outposts
    -I love first striking a jab and then hopping on with shield, then another jab and the work is done :)
    -Hoorah, no any false votekick
    -Noone shall pass me
    -I don't drop anymore my teammates off a cliff
    Issues:
    -SKYBRIDGEEES!!! The worst thing you could have ever done..
    -Can't push corpses away
    -Shielding down on enemies sometimes works like a chainsaw: my character goes through them and even if they're full health, they die and sometimes even blow to pieces
    -Strange teleports times and times
    -Bombs seem to kill teammates; not good, should only kill the one who threw it
    -Brown fog is not as good as the black, and the ends of the map don't look good when terrain is brown but them black
    -Spikes which are not attached into colliding blocks go in front of players
    -Trees sometimes destroy blocks as they grow
    -Quite many other block-related bugs, can't remember them all
    -The stun in falls is annoying: It takes away the rushrage fun. I'm fine with the 15blocks+ fall stuns, but not any lower.
    Please increase the height needed for falling stun
    -Sometimes in tunnels, as a cause of full-charged knight strike players go inside the ground
    -Doors should be more responsive; also the archer nests aren't anymore as effective as they used to, because only one door block will open
    -Tunnel and sky ambients should be a bit less loud
    -SKYBRIDGEES!!! again. They eat as much fun as they did in the early builds. Everybody goes through your defenses with little to no effort. Especially archers raining arrow hell like the angels of death upon enemies is annoying. In that situation, there are two solutions: Escape underground and try to destroy it -or- Fight against them until they reach your fort and hop on, steal the flag and escape. Whyyy is this? The previous skybridges at least needed some effort.


    Yeah, there are the pros and cons. I find this build overall fun even with all the issues though, MM has just to get some hotfixes out. I have no idea why almost everybody is whining so loud :)

    The only other mistakes in this build is not being able to push corpses around (importantly, OUT OF A DOOR) with your shield or to chop them up as knight/builder to gib them.

    Agreed. Corpse door plugs were annoying but easy to deal with in the previous build >_>

    MM: The login bug is still there - some dude I was playing with was randomly a mod for no reason. Definitely a 0 in playerlist. Name was modimo.

    EDIT: He quit the game and rejoined - still global mod!

    Yeah there are some weird stuff happening. Apparently a player has access to the map editor and create blocks randomly on the map :/

    I found it extremely fun shooting people off a ladder skybridge yesterday, even shielding knights fall after a full charged shot. Pretty easy as well with some decent overall archer support, I managed to keep 4-5 K/D ratio the entire game with this being a big factor. You actually get a frag if you shoot a guy off and he dies of fall damage. I felt like they were totally wasting men.

    Read my whole post please. Yes sky ladders are easy to counter but then the eenemy started using drawbridges and last I checked you can't knock people down from those >_>

    I had reported this bug in the test build topic, I'll report it here again (nice to see that devs pay attention to the bugs we report :rollseyes:) : there's a sound bug when as a knight you make a charged hit while jumping against a wall.

    I did not really disagree with you, Darklight. Just wanted to add to the discussion. The conclusion of my post would sum up to - 'ladder skybridges aren't overpowered'.

    and on that I agree. o/ It is certainly fun to pick off the enemy on the ladder from afar.

    Map editor doesn't work. Since it's a localized server, it doesn't connect to the master server to authenticate, and therefore doesn't recognize gold membership. Only mods can do it right now it seems.
