Nuclear Throne

From playing it seems to be only two Rad canisters, I have never unlocked him yet and tend to avoid it ever happening cause fighting him is stressful haha.

I'm loving this game the more I play :D My favorite characters are Eyes and Y.V. Just beat the throne today with Eyes using a lightning cannon, auto crossbow and auto shotgun from the throne room chest as I ran out of ammo haha...

Then promptly died on 1-1 on my loop, RIP THE DREAM

But I concur with the general consensus of go Back Muscle or go home lol. Even with decent ammo management the throne first stage is such a bullet sponge it's unreal

 

I've made it to the throne and died as two different characters now. Once I ran out of ammo and had to go all the way back to the chest at the bottom, which meant I had three seconds to kill the throne before he walked me into the wall...

EDIT: I did it, with a super crossbow and a bazooka.

Holy fuck, you can play as big dog now. This is probably a joke update that will only last a day, but god damn is it hard to be a boss.

 

I MUST try this as soon as I'm home. Such April fools, thanks for the heads up! Would have missed it otherwise ;D

So I just did A YV run with throne butt and using a bazooka as my main. This was the conclusion:

LOL when I do solo I can make it to max 4-2 and 3-3 in co-op.
YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING
well, favorite weapons:
shovel (melee for life)
double flame shotgun (2 is always better than 1, right?)
Plant (the legendary boss-tangler)
Chicken (melee start)
Fish (in coop, target:D)

 

for those who don't watch the dev streams, chicken's gonna get some reaaal gud changes
instead of the shitty slow mo her active will be throwing weapons for damage on contact
during the stream the damage was around 12 or so base and will scale with level (not sure if level of chicken herself, weapon, stage, etc)
imo it's much better than holding a button down to make the game easier
there's also a much better death screen coming up
so git hype

if you want to know how to get to it -

Spoiler

so the new area is called jungle
you'll have to get last wish as a mutation (worst mutation i know) and get to frozen wasteland (5-1)
you'll find a flower, and be given a prompt to feed it (E) when next to it
this does 1 damage and you need about 4 hp to have it suck you up into the jungle
good luck, because i got rekt the first time >_>

This game is super easy. Once i reached dificulty 255 when i decided to just quit.

I don't understand levels like this where it's such a hassle for no return, I just avoid it D:

It's like cursed weapons, unlocking Horror (Personally I dont think he is that good) and getting the underwater level. All of these things have convoluted unlocking methods which is a pain.

I like theese levels because they increase difficulty.

 

I've sort of gotten to that point before, I know what you mean; after like three loops, it's pretty much the same shit, and it gets tiring to the point where you just want to kill yourself. On my best run, I just walked into a rhino freak to get my score.

I'd prefer if there were just more bosses with crazy difficulty, and an actual endgame instead of infinite loops.

 

What setup did you use on your longest run? (weapons, character, mutations)

 

gattling slugger and laser minigun with laser brain. Also plutonium hunger + second stomach + strong spirit + rhino skin + fortress, so I was practically unkillable.
