    Nothing draws the two together besides this:

    Remoraid is both based on an Archerfish and the Remora. In Japanese, its name is Teppouo or something like that - teppo is the word for 'Pistol'. Remoraid slightly resembles a gun, and has been used like one jokingly.

    Octillery is based on an Octopus, obviously. Its name in English is 'Octopus' + "Artillery", referring to a bigger, more powerful gunpowder weapon. In japanese, its name is 'Okutank', the first half being the japanese transliteration of 'oct' and 'tank'.

    Alright time to flex my nerd muscles. The move "Sucker Punch" is actually not a punch at all. Its damage is not boosted by the ability Iron Fist and a more direct translation from the Japanese is something more like Sneak Attack.

    I don't regret it though. I don't even feel one bit bad.
    Generally we finish most games, but leaving do to rage in middle of a battle isn't uncommon, especially when the other person is unusually lucky.
    Joke is a Bulbasuar, with Bulba standing for Bulbous (as in large and round) and suar as in it sounds just like "sore" which generally look like spots on your skin. Yay, joke forever ruined, not that it was any good.
