The asteroid is pulled by its vine tethers and is pulled out of the path of the incoming planetary fire.

Tragedy! It seems the Gorg's automated scout ships have been manually self destructed causing major loss upon the front lines and upon the surface of the planet. Horribly the city is now on fire and a giant fireball, which most likely was a ship, is now hurtling towards the city. Woe to the fallen...



It also seems the remaining ships are departing. Hopefully this is not the end of the Gorg maybe they will return with fresh supplies and revenge for whoever might have caused the scouts to blow up. Only time will tell...

 

Interplanetary Earth Command (IEC) ships suddenly arrive through wormholes. Their small but potent fleet consists of three armed transports and a couple of escort fighters. A radio message blares out loudly through all the radio communications devices in the vicinity. All are able to hear this message:

"This is Admiral Snyder of the Interplanetary Earth Command Naval Fleet. We have arrived to conduct a 'peaceful', non-violent settlement of this 'unclaimed' and 'uninhabited' planet. Do not approach us suddenly or you will be fired on at will at be destroyed at the hands of the fleet. Attack us, and you bring the wrath of the entire Naval Fleet upon you and your nation. It will be seen as an act of war. Snyder out."
