    No good reason, just something mm added along with bombs. Been considering removing it for a while, not sure where that logic is performed.

    Fall damage has been reworked to be only velocity dependent, so now gliding saves you from fall damage. A lot of the building and material bugs have been fixed next build.
    The spike bugs are strange, I think it's due to the collisions in corners pushing you vertically. I might be able to solve this in interim with a velocity threshold for spike damage...

    @Raron: yup.

    On a phone at the moment so gonna leave this here. Don't worry about being crass in the past ostricheggs, just keep it in mind.

    I'm able to jump from 20-30 tiles and take 0 damage.
    Shieldbashing is what
    Paper shields, bombs go through it jabs go through it, shielding is almost pointless.
    Knight fighting is strange, hold shield and jab, things will die, it's Henry tier right now.
    still can't parachute out of bombjumps, so they are pointless
    Bombs blowing up many tiles from where the bomb actually was thrown (client side handling or just insane craziness???)
    Dying to bombs insane distances away
    Dying to friendly bombs
    Stand under 20 tile collapse directly above my head, live.
    Have almost invincibility for 4 lives where I jump insane heights and don't die as well as get collapsed on liek crazy and laugh as everyone dies but me.
    Jump on a guy from 5 tiles and shield down, he instantly dies despite shielding up to block me
    Jump on a guy from 2 tiles and shield down, he instantly dies despite shielding up to block me.
    Go builder, catch people from bottom left and do crazy damage to them, knights couldn't get out.
    Fall 6-7 tiles while only sliding on the edge for less than a full block's length-> Get stuck in permanent stun, it only stops when typing, can't even do anything until I suicide.

    All on U13 East 48 Players a few hours ago.

    e: And since I was playing with amuffinattack:
    He got stuck somehow doing the double spawn thing where he had both a knight and a builder and could move both and attack with both, then he became a ghost who couldn't even press backspace to change teams/kill himself, and basically dug us a tunnel from the enemy base where no one could stop him.

    Many lulz were had, much reminiscing was being done, many sads were had.

    I will add some more later, but blueluigi reminded me of something, that something was friendly fire.
    I think, but am not 100% that if someone in your team dies while shooting say an arc shot, his arrow will do damage to both teams I think.
    This is much like the feature of when you die with an active bomb it becomes lethal to both teams.

    Yes, that was added in 353. It's extremely annoying. As an addendum, there seems to be a bug (on occasion, not always) where a knight with a bomb that he threw in which kills HIM does damage to the players around him. It isn't just bombs too. Both bugs are very annoying ;(

    There's a few things on fall damage I just wanted to add. It seems like archers can still do fall damage, except it's entirely reciprocal. Reciprocal isn't the right word, because the damage is so incredibly random to begin with and damage dealt to one player isn't the same as to the other. Bookmark, strathos and a few others tested it with me a few nights ago. At the exact same height on all three classes jumping on one another in every permutation, all three did varying amounts of damage (ranging from .5 to even 2 damage dealt) even to the same class! But the funny part is is that knights can shield the damage like their shielding an attack, so if a builder falls on me while I'm shielding up, the builder will take a random amount of damage and I'll remain unscathed. This happens vice versa as well. In addition, just as an anecdote, there seems to be relatively small variation in height that one needs to jump off to receive fall damage. I've also received 1 fall damage before where I should receive .5, mostly on archers though.

    When I don't shield up and guys fall on me they die instead... That weird? They most likely had one heart left or something but it's still a bit weird. Should be reversed in my opinion. You jump on a guy he breaks your fall while he dies and you keep on fighting like a badass, no slowdowns except for the initial impact.

    I must have put at least 100 arrows into a functioning Cata yesterday. This catapult showed the 'broken cata' sprite, but continued to be functional, despite the 100 arrows.

    As you now can't jump while standing on an enemy, and you just slowly slide to one side, you can get stuck in situations like these. This also makes stomping as a builder just not worth the risk.

    I'm not sure if I should post this on mantis.

    what i find rediculous is that shield blocks 90% of what i throw out at it. most annoying, shield does not break from slash but does break from fully charged arrow all the time
    also great stuff guys/forum lots of interesting bugs and make of the messes that is kag life player

    In a recent game I played I jumped on someone's head and got stuck in the fall loop, so this bug (as of 370) has not been fixed. Luckily an enemy knight went out of his way to finish me off in a coup de grace but I am surprised this bug has not been fixed.

    I agree the shield does feel useless in jab combat, in relation to when I started playing. What I disagree with though is that combat relies less upon jabbing and more upon slashing then it did, of course this brings up a slew of problems relating to the slash, many have already been stated.

    One problem that I have noticed is that sometimes I survive with zero hearts left. I do not know if this is a gameplay feature but it sure doesn't seem like it.

    370: Notch jumping into certain jumps when jumping 2 tall notches is extremely strange, you cannot hit them with momentum, only while standing still. Perhaps not a bug unless you consider very weird physics a bug.

    the bug has not been fixed just made smaller zone area.
    the problem with a bomb is that the farther away from an explosion the less damage you take, often you take a quarter heart of damage and when reduced to what looks like no hearts is actually less then half a heart

    370: Throwing bombs I've noticed being hit with bombs over 5, sometimes 10 tiles away, unless it is possible to change the radius of bombs right now and all the main servers have done it, it's a bit crazy. So the problem is either radius or lag or something because on my side the bomb goes not even near me, there are literally more than 2 thick 2 tall dirt walls between us and I still get hit.

    I was a builder and another builder captured our flag. I chased him into a corner and he had half a heart of health. For some reason my hammer wouldn't do damage and I died...

    I've noticed this as well. You have to be standing perfectly still at the base of a notch wall in order to make it up, and even then you have a hard time jumping up.

    Now you can't jump on somebody to pass him over because you get stunned. I mean that kind of Mario jump on enemies' heads, doing no damage but using them as a spot where to land and from where to do a new jump.
    Before 370, at zombie adventure mode, tyou could stay jumping on a column of dummy zombies for ages. You jumped on the zombie at the top, which was at the same time jumping on a zombie below, and so on till the ground one. It looked weird but i prefer it to being stunned thus.

    I'll dump a list of stuff that's been fixed to the devlog soon, a lot of them are exploit and combat related, more significant fixes include less laggy shields, no converting doors, no repairing bridges with backwall, and about 90% fewer sigills on servers (bunch of crashes found and curbed). I'll hopefully be in test irc tonight to get feedback on the combat changes and make sure the only conversion exploit is bridge replacement (cant be fixed just yet)
