Clans of long ago that wanted to get rid of their unwanted people without killing them use to burn their houses down - hence the expression "to get fired."

pH stands for power of Hydrogen, and refers to the number of hydrogen atoms in your body. Normal blood pH is between 7.35 and 7.45. If your blood pH is off by even a fraction of these two numbers, it can have serious consequences.
