Oh gods..

 

Ive gotten burned out on this lately. After getting a 4/8 and 5/8 priest I kinda lost motivation to keep going :(

 

Pfft. 3/3 wizard with death wand is way to go. :P

 

Cept wizzies dont use wands :D

 

Oh you poor peasant folk, not knowing the glory of wizard wands and spell paladins :(

 

That rogue ended up going to 5/8 but died to a cube god.

Not playing it for a while now.

 

Pfft you don't know when rogues had a long ranged fire dagger. You missed out on all the best bits. Also, cube god was my idea...well I'll claim it.

 

*sighs* yeah I wish I was in for the old days.

 

See also- 18 range bows. You could hit enemies before they even showed up on your minimap! They didn't have piercing, but still.

 

Posting this here from a convo im in for those that may not know:

 

I got Rob killed once by dragging mobs to him :) Fun times, especially when gods spawned on beaches.

 

I'm half tempted just to build up fame for an ammy, i'm only like 700/800 fame away.

I played a little bit yesterday and was glad to see it's still possible to solo most gods as level 11 wizard with the worst staff, second worst spell, 3rd worst robe and whatever the smallest health ring is called.

Just progress normally. Teleporting to trains at the mountains will get you a few levels but then the big attacks will kill you quickly. So stay near the beach, level up, group up with other low levels, move inland, follow the quests that are scaled to your level. It might seem like it takes longer but it's much safer and still enjoyable. If you feel confident you can go solo gods as a ranged class at any point. I was doing it as level 1 wizard with basic stuff a while ago, but make sure you stock up on heal pots. And only cowards use the nexus button.
