RP- The Shroud descends

Lark tumbled around in the whirlwind until he was finally flung out and sent flying several miles, he could see snow around him, then the ground rushed up to meet him.

 

"Damn these horrors!" Raven said as he quickly evaded the zombies' fierce attacks. He then performed a backflip, and charged up a huge amount of Wind Magic. Though, he got blown into the air before he could execute it.

 

In a blinding flash, Ugos realised he was wrong. Lark was nowhere to be seen. Had he gone in the Shroud?
For the first time since his parent's death, he felt truly alone.

He wasn't.

 

Lark woke in a land he was not familiar with, it was a barren snowbound land. He would have to start a new life, just then an icicle flew past his head. "Don't move, I am Snowfist of the icebound, and who are you?" Lark looked up to see a an icy figure with a helmet which had glowing green eyes, "I am Lark," he replied.

 

Ella scratched her hands along the ground, searching for something to grab on to. But the whirlwind was too strong, it was pulling her up. She closed her eyes and did her best to curl into a ball. The wind sucked her up, dust and twigs clawing at her body. She tried to look around, to see what was happening, but the wind whipped into her face. After awhile of tumbling around she hurtled out of the winds, straight for a group of hungry looking zombies.

 

Lark walked into the glistening halls of the Icebound Sanctuary, he looked around to see laborers hurrying to work. He was brought to the king, "make sure he is not a Dregin, take him to the dungeons," "What! You can't do this!" Lark was thrown into the cell and landed on the bed.

 

A strong wind suddenly appeared out of the blue. It tore up everything, creating deadly missiles. It picked Aspathe up like a rag-doll, spinning her around helplessly. She speeded towards a tree, and only the capricous nature of the whirlwind saved her. Aspathe unsheathed her wings, in a desperate attempt to slow down, only to have one hit by a large, flying piece of debris. The hard rock smashed her wing, mashing bone and damaging flesh. She screamed in agony as sticks and dirt flew at her, turning her skin red and roar. Her one good wing hopelessly flapped. Another rock flew at her arm, breaking it. She screamed. The ground eagerly came up to meet her. Aspathe hit it with a loud thump, before being bounced and rolled into The Shroud by the merciless wind. At last she came to a stop in a barren, white land, snow soaked red with her blood, but she didn't know; she was unconscious.

 

Ugos had travelled a long way through the portal of the Shroud's inner core. However as he trudged slowly through the barren snowy wastes, he began to notice a... presence... flitting in and out of his peripheral vision. After a short while, a humming reached his ears.
After that, the humming grew louder.
He realised it wasn't humming as he saw, out of the relentless snowing weather, a cave.
It wasn't vacant! Inside was a fire... and the humming was really the eerie chanting of the inhabitant.
Peeking inside cautiously, shoulders hunched and well frosted from the sub-zero temperature, he saw a peculiar sight. Inside was a slight, snow covered... leprechaun!
"'Oo are ye, big goi?"
Ugos answered in a gruff tone, "My name is Ugos, and who," He pointed with a lack of authority, "are you?"
A clack sounded, and in a communal stare, they beheld the most colossal spider in...well...wherever they were.
The Queen Frigisect had awoken.
And it seemed eager to break it's fast.

 

Lark sat in his cell, he saw to Icebound walk past, "That skeleton's probably a Dregin spy," one muttered. "Psst Lark," Lark looked up to see Snowfist, "I can help you get out." Snowfist unlocked the door and they snuck out, Lark took out one of the guards and hid his body. "Hey Jadearm where are you?" "Over here." "Your voice sounds weird, like you've seen a ghost or somethi-" He was cut short when he ended up face to face with Lark, "yeah you could say something like that," he said before he punched the guard out the window.

"Ok skeleton, good luck on your travels." Lark jumped out as he heard footsteps, "traitor!" a woman screeched, Snowfist tried to fight back but he was crystalised and smashed into pieces, Lark winced as he rushed off. He walked over to find Aspathe, face down with blood splattered around and unconscious.

The shroud heard its master, Gorth calling for it to return, it would let the elves take back Temor, for now it had a much bigger target.

 

Ella crashed into the group of zombies, who somewhat broke her fall. A sharp pain raced across her back as she collided with the skull of a ravenous looking zombie. She flipped over the zombies, landing face first in the ground, a stone smashing into her cheek. "Uuugh..." She groaned, rolling over. She opened her eyes to see zombies in every direction, she felt her arm being yanked away as a zombie sunk it's decaying teeth into her. She yelped and jumped up, punching it in the head. They were closing in even more. She pulled out her bow and started shooting them from close range. "Ella!" Over to the right she spotting the elves, who were pushing back the horde of zombies. She charged up a light orb and sent it through the creatures, creating a path to the elves. She slipped through, escaping the zombies grasp. She looked up to see the retreating form of The Shroud.
"Where did everyone go?" Ella asked an Elf.
"The Shroud.. It swallowed them." He replied solemnly. "I'm sorry."

 

"Gahhhh" Raven said. He fell from the sky. "Ow." He said. He retreated back until he couldn't see anymore zombies. He then fell on the floor.

 

"Come on Aspathe wake up!" Ge yelled, he felt his left leg freeze to the ground, "oh no," he said.
//I didn't get swallowed I got catapulted miles away to the location where the shroud took them.

 

Light covered in rubble and zombies kicks his way out making bodys and rubble fly every.. Light stood there in the middle of the dead warzone with no arms.
"Ella...!" Light spoke as loud as he could when he saw her off to the distance. Light fell down onto his knee's covered in blood and dirt.

 

"Aspath please!" He felt his chest freeze up "Nooooo," he moaned as the ice covered his jaw and then enveloped his entire body, freezing him.

 

As soon as the small leprechaun realised this newcomer was hostile, he ran off into the blizzard, screaming, "It's after me lucky charms!"
Ugos was faced with an issue. Wander for eternity in the frozen wastes or face off against this monstrous spider.
He had his sword... Ugos chose option 2.

 

Ella heard her name and looked over to see Light, armless and collapsing to the ground. "Light!" She yelled, bringing a hand to her mouth. She rushed over, carefully stepping over his lifeless limbs. "No light!" She looked up "Healers! Any healers?!" A novice healer rushed over, but the look on her face was not one of hope. "Light, stay awake!" Ella said.
"I need water!" The healer said as calmly as she could, beckoning another elf over. "Quickly, fetch me some from the river." The elf covered the wounds with a cloth, trying to slow the flow of the blood.

 

Light's lifeless eyes were in complete shock as to what has happened. He see's thin black burnt to a crisp ash torn off limbs across the field. He has no idea whats going on. He's lost both his arms and Everythings falling apart. "E-ella..." Tears flow down his eyes as his dead lifeless eyes look blankly forward. Light stands up somehow and trys to walk forward but is stumbling tremendously.

 

"Light!" She yelled at him, a tear escaping her eye at seeing him in this state. "Light sit back down! We're trying to help you!" The elven healer attempted to ease him down.

 

Light thrash's back in fourth in a utter rage screaming nonesense "Why?!?!?! Why!?!?!?!?!?!? Why?!?!?!?!???! Dam God!?!? I will kill everything!?!?" He stomps his feel on the ground and screams more with veins popping out of his head and flames engulfing around the ground making a circle around him. Light jumps with all his might and flames go everywhere. He runs off into the forest.

 

"Oh light..." If he had be fine she would of let him go, let him get his anger out. But she couldn't let him wander around the forest armless. She sprinted after him, each step sending a sharp pain up her spine. She created a ball of light, standing on top of it and expanding it to propel her forwards.
