"Sadly, I'm not surprised…" Frost bolted away to Ravish, he was going to check on Laurel. He entered the town, everything seemed cheerful, but it wasn't to last. Suddenly, a crackle filled the sky, he looked up to see what appeared to be a celebration light. But it slammed into the ground, engulfing a group of children in scorching flames.

The orcs had launched a second attack on Ravish, they didn't learn their lesson. Frost saw a house, collapsing and burning, he raced in to see the thing he had hoped to not happen. Laurel lay in a pool of blood, wounded and burnt. Frost kneeled down to her, he lifted her up. "Laurel… don't die… please…" Frost had known Laurel from the age of four, he loved this girl.

"Frost?" Laurel broke out into a fit of coughing, "the orcs… they… are ruthless…" A tear fell from his eye, making a grim journey to the ground. "He wears black armour, adorned with skulls… also…" Laurel pulled out a locket, inside was a crystal shard. "This will help you on your journey… you will know when it's needed…" Laurel tilted her head slightly, "what does it do!" "it…it……it let's you…" Laurel's head sagged, Frost shut her eyes, she was dead. Frost dropped her to the ground, something for the orcs had snapped inside of him.

Frost grabbed his sword, he had some "work" to do…

Unless you plan on killing them. Like you killed Banka. And Laurel. And Gris. And And Veo. And Drik. And Mah. And Lark. Dat's a lot of dieing.

The Saurians all swarmed at Aspathe at once, thirsty to avenge their fallen brothers. She madly swung her staff with each slight movement meeting flesh. With the sheer amount attackers, it would be nearly impossible not to hit anyone. With each enemy that fell, two more took it's place, like a scaly Greek hydra of fury. Of course, Aspathe paid dearly in blood. Deep claw marks covered her almost all her body. Hastily, she summoned her scythe, but even when using a weapon in which she had greater proficiency in was not enough. Fatigued by the effort and woosy from the lack of blood, she fell. The last thing she saw was a Saurian looking behind him.

    "Mummy, tell me a story!"
A 7yo Aspathe sat in bed, pleading.
    Dyanona, her mother, sighed.
"Fine," she mock huffed, starting her story.
"Long ago, our ancestors lived on a different, much larger island."
"Why haven't I heard of it?" asked Aspathe.
"It brings great shame on us. You will find out why later on in the story. Anyway, their were 4 main families; the Reniads, the Hermios, the Thiams and the Selinieths. They all lived peacefully, no one ever considered hurting each other or lying to one another. They didn't even know how to do such things! One day a strange man appeared. He was dressed in weird clothing and said was from the ground. Some stories say he came up riding the wind, others say he came on a dragon made out of the clouds themselves. I believe that he came in some sort of wooden contraption that allowed him to use his magic to fly. He was very clever, using both science and magic. The strangest thing was that he somehow knew the old language, the tongue our ancestors spoke on the large island before we were banished here."
"Banished! We were banished?" Aspathe exclaimed.
"It will be explained later on in the story. The daughter of the head of Selinieth instantly fell in love with the visitor. He revealed his name to be Divad and everyone treated him kindly because they didn't know how to hate. He stayed for awhile and during that time he and the daughter became very close. However, humans are corrupt and he corrupted the daughter with his evil ways; lying, stealing, hating, hurting. Once the other families realized this, they protested for him to leave, but the head of Selinieth let him stay as he was making his daughter happy. The families couldn't do anything else as they were still pure. The daughter was oblivious to this matter and killed her father, greedy for power, an emotion se had never felt before. She then became the head, with Divad by her side. However, without the father there was no opposition to her exile. Only leaders could vote and the people in question had no say. A chunk of the large island was broken off and with Divad, the daughter and the many who were corrupted on the chunk, they blew it away using magic. The last thing that was said to anyone before the exile was that when all the evil is gone, then you will be fit for return. Because of this, we all try to be good and severely punish who are not so we can return."
"Aren't you happy here?" asked Aspathe.
"I am, but the main island has fine palaces made of clear crystals and roads lined with diamonds. They have the finest food and pastries so perfect they explode into featherlight fragments. Because we have human blood that place is perfect while here, and us, are not."

When the Orcs reached Aspathe, she was a bloody mess. Her clothing was completely ripped except for a few strategic spots the dinosaurs had the foresight to avoid. Her body fared no better, covered in wounds. Her saviors carried her back to the Orc village.

//Yeah, but Frost didn't really know all those guys, he didn't give a shite

Frost escorted all the Saurians out, "Go! To the closest village! Go to Slath!" He was covered in wounds, he had killed a couple of Orcs, not a large amount, but enough to quench his thirst for revenge. He saw a child trip, and an orc was stomping along, walking calmly as he advanced towards her. Frost was nearly safe, he could leave now, he looked back at the child, he wouldn't be able to live with the consequences.

He quickly sped along, baring his claws, he launched himself at the bruiser, knocking him over, and delivering scratches to his face. Frost roared in rage, mauling the Orc, who reacted by grabbing a glass pipe lying on the ground and smashing it over Frost's head. He turned to see the child was gone, everything was fuzzy, his eyes were tired, he was dizzy from the blow. He collapsed, his eyes closing, then opened his eyes once more, stumbling forwards, he slipped back down to the ground, everything was so... tiring... He felt two rough hands clasp over his neck, squeezing the very life out of him, and then he collapsed.

When he woke up, he was back in the Orc Village, in a cell, he looked around for anything but to no avail. He heard a scampering, and looked to see a small lizard, he looked at his locket, it was glowing... Suddenly the lizard jumped at the sword, and in a flash of light, it the sword was gone...

When the light cleared, the sword was gone, but the lizard remained. The lizard was purple, with a sharp frill, and a set, of impossibly pointy teeth. Frost spoke to it in the reptile global Tongue, an ability all Saurians posess. "What can you do?" the lizard morphed into a sword, crackling with lightning. Frost stared in amazement, then started to construct a plan.

He had named the lizard Tooth, and an Orc entered to give him his daily meal, but noticed something was wrong. Frost had collapsed, so the Orc entered, to check what was happening. Tooth launched himself into Frost's hand and morphed, and Frost stabbed the Orc, lightning turning him to ash.

Frost ran, he burst into a room with orcs and the girl from before.

Suddenly in the middle of the forest near Ella's homeland where Lights shack is located dark purple clouds start appearing out of nowhere. A huge storm is approaching and the ground feels uneasy.

//This is not really relevant to the story, but I just want to expand the lore, and typing is fun :D

A man talked to his son, in a far off island, with its own adventurers and stories. "Son, what do you want to do, when you become a man, your rite of passage is tomorrow, and you must decide your path." The son looked straight into his father's eyes, "I want to adventure, go to different lands!" The father had expected this response, he was worried, he had hoped for a different answer, like a baker, or a teacher. "Son... the world, is a big, unfriendly place, you will find people at every turn, who will want you dead. But if you want to adventure, let me tell you, about Loth..."

"For centuries, the continent of Loth, has been shrouded in mystery and superstition. Some say it is a land inhabited by misfits and the strangest of creatures, surrounded on all sides by dangerous, murky waters. Some say it's a prison for the most dangerous of outcasts, legend has it that the only hope of ever finding a place, is to kill everyone who opposes you, to find the utmost hidden treasure. A treasure that every creature has been craving to acquire since the dawn of time, that they are ready to fight for, and risk their life to possess... So... If you go there, and you think your troubles are bad enough, you'll find out, they've only just begun."

The son heeded his words, "Father, I will adventure, but never there, I can promise you." The father took a relieved breath, "but, you will adventure everywhere, bring in riches! When you are ready, leave this continent, leave Hools, and adventure!"

The sight of a wooden ceiling greeted Aspathe when she woke. She propped herself up on one heavily bandaged arm to look around and immediately regretted it when pain flooded every part of her body. She fell back onto a wooden bench, padded with leathers and furs. The Orcs in the room, sitting on various pieces of pine furniture finally registered she was conscious. A chorus of cheers greeted her.
"The bastard's awake now? Thought she could take a nap while all this fighting's goin' on?" a bald Orc proclaimed.
"I would be tired with all the fighting she was doing. Took down more than a fair share of pesky dinosaurs," another exclaimed
"You were nearly done for when we found you. Good thing we came just in time." bellowed a fairly energetic one.
Aspathe felt her head throb at the shouts. She begun to reply but her throat was too dry.
    "Wa..wa..ter.." she managed to rasped.
"Ah, the bastard wants a drink? Here, catch!" Baldie replied.
Aspathe lifted her arm to catch, grimancing at the lances of pain that shot up her arm. She glugged down half of the contents, pouring the rest as high as she could reach. The orb of water hung there, suspended by magic. She begun unbandaging her arm. Some fabric bandage was stuck, glued on by caked blood. Using some of the water, she wetted it, and gently removed the rest of the bandage. She let it fall to the ground. The floating ball of water glowed as Aspathe concentrated on it and moved it to cover her arm. It healed, leaving a few pale scars. She continued this process with the rest of her body, using water from an outside barrel.
She was sitting on the bench chatting to the Orcs when the Saurian from before bursted in. Her staff was nowhere to be seen but the Orcs had weapons. Aspathe stood up, ready to defend herself in case the Saurian decided to attack her.

Ella looked up to see a sudden rising of dark purple clouds in the distance... "What is that?!" She said, taking out her bow. Something felt off.

Ugos patted Ella's arm and gestured for her to lower the bow.
"I'm not sure, lass, but somehow I dun think a couple 'o' arrows are gunna do a whole lot against it. I say we get to my kin. They'll shelter me, and I can vouch for you. Let's get going."
Mud slapped his bare thighs as Ugos trudged along to the base camp, with Ella close behind.

The cloud grew larger as they walked, it wasn't long before it blanketed a fair chunk of the forest. After a while she spotted what appeared to be the camp in the distance. A group of Orc warriors entered a hut, their swords briefly glinting in the sun. "Well I hope your kind take kindly to elves." Ella said.
