Frost mumbled something in contempt and dropped him, "You're right, find the others, we can do this, but first, we need someone fast." He pointed to a man who was sprinting at incomprehensible speeds around the place, "I think we found our man..."

Vesuvis finally arrives at the city of Prospor. A great cloud covers the city, thundering and lighting up the sky with its bright rays of electricity. He notices Vos had stopped walking, with a blank look on his face. He pats Vos on the head and says, "Come on lad, we didn't come all this way to be stopped by a little precipitation."

Zetan looks at the pathetic group of people before him, unaware of his presence. The girl, an elf no doubt, had stopped the blue thing from most likely killing the poor man who it seems, had broken down and started to cry. What a fun sight it was to watch.

    Before..

Perching on a tree like an overgrown bird, Aspathe watch as the horizon grew dark, despite night still being many hours away. The stone towers of Prospor was enveloped in a fog-like object. The Shroud? From such far away it was indistinguishable. Her staff lay somewhere in the dense woodlands behind her, lost in the scuffle that ensured after the green lady found her by a stroke of luck. She managed to get away. Her companions weren't as lucky.
Something big was happening, but traveling on foot would be too slow. Removing her jacket, she opened her wings. Her glossy black wings stretched, cramped from being covered for so long. Now standing up on the moss covered branch she leaped off. Her wings beat and she flew towards Prospor, covering land like no human could.

  6. The book flipped open again. The page was empty. Then it started to glow, and runes appeared, shifting and rearranging.

The runes became letters, and the letters became sentences. As the first page filled with golden writing, another page, flipped out from underneath the second and formed a third. Soon the three pages was covered in golden writing...

Now filled with the knowledge, a glimpse of hope sparked inside her. She pulled out the mysterious orb from her pocket, it glowed and sparkled with light on touching her hand. "consentrated sunlight" She said under her breath, her mind racing with the possibilities of the orb.

"Frost!" She half-yelled at the Saurian in front of her. "It isn't about defeating The Shroud... But trapping it! Here! Read this!" She spun around, showing the book to him.

//Nope, he can't read very well

He took the book, staring long and hard at it, his eyes darting from page to page. He looked rather embarrassed at the end, "I... never learned to read your language, I only know a few languages that I can read. What does it say?"

  9. While running all over the place at high speeds, Raven slows down and stops. He notices Arthen on the floor. "Didn't go too well, didn't it?" Raven asked. "Ya think?" Arthen says. Raven helps Arthen up. "Couldn't find anyone to help." He says. "Yeah, I can see why." Arthen said. "Ugh, bastard's stronger than I thought." Arthen groaned. "Let's rest over there." Raven said as he pointed to a somewhat wrecked house.

"Don't worry," Ella said, taking the book back and reading aloud the three pages.

"I think we might be able to concentrate the sunlight with this orb," She said, holding it up again.

"That seems like a good idea, but... night is falling, we must act fast, or not at all."

  12. It’s time...

Kylar bolted upright from his position, eyes wide open. He found himself on a bed. The last time he checked, he was on the ground, passed out from using too much magic.

The lizard, from before he entered the city, was studying a book with the elf.

Strange beings. Amusing. Pathetic. Kylar thought.

"Pathetic. Why did you carry me here? Useless. I don't need anyone's help. Pathetic mortals. I'm leaving." He jumped off the bed and immediately toppled over, crashing into the bedside table and causing a vase to land on the lizard's foot.

    "Owww...my head…"

It was then that he noticed the glowing orb in the elf's left hand. He recalled back to an hour ago. The staff of the magician. The orb embedded in it's tip.

He knew. A simple orb like that could spell the death of The Shroud. But he had no interest in it anymore. All he desired was his belongings.

He looked around the room in a circle, but to his disappointment, his sack of goodies was nowhere to be seen, let alone his precious sword. He needed to get them back.

He glanced back at the trio, still arguing and shouting. He stuck out his tongue before heading out the door, slamming it behind him, causing it to break off its hinges and crashed to the ground. But Kylar was long gone. He needed his equipment. As he faded into a dot in the distance, if one had Eagle Vision, one could see the feather of a Pegasus stuck in his hair.

  13. "You good now?" Raven asked Arthen. "Yeah.." Arthen replied. He then gets up. "Let's go." He said. "Hopefully everyone's all right." Raven said. "What now?" Arthen asked. "Well, uhh... I don't know. Maybe we could find some people, or survivors." Raven said. "Fine, but let's make this quickly. Or we're toast." Arthen warned. They both started searching.

"Not now," Ella said. "We need to plan, we don't even know where this place is. All the help we get is:The land is at the most south, surrounded by ice and snow yet constantly receiving eternal sunlight. Plus the sunlight is strongest at midday, we'll have more of a chance then."
She looked around, seeing the chaos still being wreaked. Marvel hovered high above, The Shroud's dense cloud layering the sky around her.
"We have to find everyone, with all of us together we can herd The Shroud down south, or maybe.. bait it? What does a Shroud like enough that could cause it to follow us?"

  15. Kylar opened the vial and took another swig of the tasteless solution and shoved the cork back on. Now he was fuelled.

But he didn't zoom off again in another direction. He sat down quietly on piece of broken off limestone wall and a thoughtful

    expression filled his face.

According to The Shroud's current strength, it was entirely capable of fending off attacks. The sun mage from before was most

likely the only one in the kingdom, and the elf with the orb probably didn't know how to use it yet.

Even if she did, she wouldn't be able to defeat The Shroud unless they were both at the most southern land of Loth. The land

of ice and snow. Kylar struggled to remember the name of the land, but nothing came to mind. Soon he gave up and contemplated

on what to do in the current situation.

The Shroud was wreaking havoc in Prospor, and in a few hours, the whole place would come crashing down. He could sense The

Shroud preparing to do another of its few Stronger Undead Reanimations. He suspected this one to be big. It would probably be

a dragon or something of similar strength.

The best and most obvious choice would be to run. But he didn't call it running. After all, The Shroud's target wasn't him.

Nor would it target him. He had served Gorth for a while to gather him the resources for the creation of The Shroud.

He didn't think he owed Gorth much anymore.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    -------

But Gorth thought otherwise. Kylar had owed his father a debt. A debt of knowledge. In fact, Gorth knew Kylar knew more than

he did. But Gorth was smarter, more sly, and had a purpose. It was a goal that drove him forward.

However, Gorth was also a foolish man. He knew naught about the multiply Shrouds. And in his hand, he only hand a fragment of

the original Shroud and he had decided to multiply it, without thinking of its consequences.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    -------

Kylar remembered his books well. He possibly knew every single line of half the books he read. After all, he considered

    himself talented.

He also knew Gorth to be a foolish man. He had received news of Gorth's announcement to the world that more Shrouds will

    conquer the land. Foolish indeed.

As he travelled toward the-now-Lord Emeraldon's palace, he unsheathed his sword to meet the gathering of ignorant and foolish

try-hards who were attempting to flank The Shroud.

He charged up his magic power and magic flowed from his body into his arms and finally into the sword.

SWISH, SLASH! He cut left and right, mowing down a group of Templars and a part of the supposedly Elite Blood Elf group.

The Templar leader roared as he fell off his horse, crashing into the ground, armour buckling underneath him. The Blood Elves

drew their bows and fires multiple arrows, streaming lights of red, which all stopped a few metres in front of Kylar, before

dropping to the ground, like bees in smoke.

Unfortunately for Kylar, the Templar captain had stood back up. He seemed totally undamaged from Kylar's attack, except of

course the massive bruise on his forehead, which had resulted from his very own house, galloping away in fright.

Kylar laughed his head off at the horseshoe shaped mark on the man's sweaty brow.

But the Templar did not find it so funny. Kylar has not only insulting him, but he slain his entire crusade group in two

    slashes of his sword.

The Templar was as thick-skulled as fully-grown troll. He charged at Kylar, swinging his sword in all directions. But what

had protected the Templar was not his sword, nor his armour. It was his shielded. Which he had stupidly left behind as he got

    stomped on the head.

He's pretty thick-skulled to survive the metal hoof of a horse, or is he just lucky? Well I guess anyone would have their

head done in after being stomped on the head by a horse.

Kylar's smile soon grew into a thin line, and he flicked his finger, before turning to the palace and galloping away on his

new steed, stolen from the, numbskull of a Templar.

But Kylar did not take the most advantageous item around as he left. The shield of the Templar still lay on the ground. Not

one mark was visible on it, even after Kylar's magic sword attack had chopped down the whole crusade group in two slashes.

Nor did the Blood Elves pay any attention to the heavy looking piece of metal, as they were completely occupied with an angry

Shroud, right above their head tops.

The ground thundered once again as Kylar reached the palace. He glanced back to see The Shroud lifting off a piece of burnt

ground, where the Blood Elves had been.

"I thought blood elves were supposed to be one of the most intelligent creatures in Loth." he muttered.

The gates of the palace slowly swung open in a monotonous creak as he knocked thrice...

Ryes hugs his knee's and looks for a exit out of the city, he sees the wall of prosper are not too high. He slams his gauntlet on the ground and he flings 2 feet into the air. He's crying constantly while hes in the air and goes right over the wall.

The witches were fast asleep now, with a full belly and no sighted threats.
Ugos wondered what they were doing so far down here. Nonetheless... they had to go.
He hefted a small tree onto his shoulder, not stopping to wonder what uprooted it.
As the last hag wandered into their makeshift tree/mud hut, he crept towards it as well. Making sure to avoid being illuminated by the fire, he crawled on his stomach to the door. He could hear cackling and see a faint bluish light...
He looked around for any other potential predators. Seeing none, he grabbed his trunk and with a mighty blow, smacked the roof down onto the witches.
    It cracked... but stayed.
He groaned as three consecutive shrieks sounded out to the sky. He dove into a small pile of snow - and twigs, to his dismay - as 2 witches with daggers strode out with their trade-mark hunched backs. A third, larger and with a longer nose than the rest, wielded some kind of glowing gauntlet on her left hand.
This can't be good... He watched as she extended her hands and shot lightning into the sky. Yeah, not good at all.A rather evil twig was sticking into him, so he risked shifting a little.
    They saw it immediately.
"Hello there, snow. Fancy meeting youuuu here... Ehehehe! Get 'em, girls!"
Cover blown, and 3 to 1, Ugos had little chance. But he couldn't run and let them dwell in these parts...
With a roar, he rose from the snow and shouldered the nearest hag. In response, he got a dagger in the arm.
"ARGGH!!!" Sending a punch cracking into her skull, he ducked to avoid a lightning bolt. His left arm felt limp already, and he snapped the trunk into two, wielding half in his usable arm. He threw the other at the leader hag and sent her reeling, at the same time whipping the last hags elongated nose with the half tree. She squealed and yelped and toppled over, writhing in agony.
Interesting...Picking up a smaller stick, he threw it at the lightning hag just as she regained her senses. Before it reached her, though, she fired off another lightning bolt, striking Ugos's right thigh.
He grunted as the raw energy sizzled his flesh.
With his good shoulder, he bowled over the leader hag while she was momentarily stunned by the stick. He made sure to make contact with the nose.
As he hit her, she was lifted off the ground. She clutched her nose and shrieked, then hit the snow and went silent. Looking around, he found one of their daggers and went to work silencing them for good. He had nothing to aid his wounds; water would have to do. In fact, he saw some nettles around...

An hour or so later, he had taken the witches' residence for himself, with a nice clay cup of nettle tea. Not his favorite drink, but beggars can't be choosers.
As he drank, he lifted the small blue object that was on the pine table. It was roughly circular, with odd markings all over. Runes.
    What was it?

Ella looked over to Frost. "I'm going to fly up on Marvel and look for Ugos, Aspathe and Raven." She said. "My chances of finding them aren't exactly great... But I can try. Try to find somewhere safe for what's left of the people. At this rate there won't be anyone left in a few hours..."
