    As @LegendBeta slowly repairs his obliterated body, his tracking system was wasted, and he has no records of where the tank containing the last survivors heading towards the RSCPR HQ is.

    The gamma engine was hurriedly re-calibrated and activated despite attempts by some zombies to eat those working on the engine.

    And then we activated it.

    And now...

    ???

    You see, unfortunately--what with the interference from the solar storm, and the distractions of biological horrors trying to eat us, and the relatively un-tested nature of much of the technology we were using, and the fact that a couple of cups of coffee (and a bottle of "special sauce") got spilt into what were (in hindsight) probably vital areas...--unfortunately the gamma engine didn't....um... That is to say it didn't....erm... Well....ah... Well, let's just say that its performance wasn't exactly....ahum... Wasn't exactly within parameters?

    ...

    Basically the gamma engine disappeared.

    Like, it made a lot of noise, a lot of light, we thought it was going to explode, and then it just wasn't there any more.

    We're still not sure how or why.

    That said, there are some things that we are certain of:
    1. It would appear that not all the brain-jars were sufficiently irradiated; meaning that until someone shows themselves to be alive, we'll have to assume they're dead. Maybe. This brings me to my second point...
    2. It would seem that, *ahem*, THE FUCKING ZOMBIES ARE GOING TO GET US AND NOT EVEN THE DEAD CAN ESCAPE!!! So, uh, basically: whatever else the gamma engine <did>, it also enabled the virus to affect not just living tissue, but dead tissue too. To reiterate: (from now on) people killed by zombies become zombie spawn. (The only exception being irradiated people; who stay dead, bc their bodies are too irradiated to be infected)
    3. It successfully irradiated our weapons (yay) meaning that, with some effort, we can now actually kill zombies. Like, put them in the grave for good.
    4. There seem to have been some weird effects that some of our technicians are claiming are just hallucinations, while others are saying are actually a "flexing of the space-time probability continuum". Either way, they agree that people shouldn't take for granted anything that seems too weird or out of the ordinary (hah! We're in the middle of zombie apocolyps! Please define "normal"! ::P:). Thus it's likely that many of the seeming "facts" people have produced in the last 24h are actually a result of this warped reality and not solid reasons to indulge in conspiracy theories.
    So yeah. Hooray for science?

    Also, we're still waiting for people to harvest some Dev Liver and some Blood of the Innocent Immune.

    Get on that, people. We'll need it if we want to fashion a cure.
