    Gdc was the last time I presume lots of them were together, just from reading around most of them live splattered across the world.

    Mm- Poland
    Max- Aus
    Flab- America I think
    Shad- America or Europe.

    They do need to make a profit so I doubt they often arrange playmate across the world for fun.

    Ryan (FLAB) is American. He's the guy in the middle of that GDC shot.
    Tom (Shad) is British. He couldn't make it to GDC sadly. Maybe one day we can organise an office together, but for now we mostly work remotely.

    Ghozt is right in saying we cant afford international playdates all that often ;)

    Blocks and slope blocks bring, even more? I know I have found an elevator which I saw in a server (dear god help me) so won't sloped blocks and bouble blocks make these on the big, or are they going to be so throughly tested that not even rayne could fit I'd you know what I mean.

    I just hope when it comes out it will be a lift (dumb pun related to elevators) of our spirits.

    that would be awesome. Id shoot everything to hell. and its more awesome than a catapult.

    This stuff has to stay a sekrit so it won't be in the test build, like most things.

    Inb4 100 posts about how to become an tester why I want to be a tester, why it is bad to be tester and most saddening, an EXTREMELY pissed if FBB. <3

    It will not be released to public test build unless we need very large numbers of players.
    Yes this will be tested madly. We dont have leeway for many missed bugs.

    i hope these blocks provide enough momentum that they can slide down ramps with gaps in between. Trampoline will be amazing, hopefully:
    1 one can save it to a .kag file
    2 it bounces everything
    3 be able to set a variable of which how much it bounces back (ie after hitting the cata it will only bounce up 75% of its original height
    4 have it be able to set different directions on the map, would make some very annoying and maybe very fun bounce maps
    5 make in indestructible

    suggestion here that seems to never have been suggested (but idk) haystacks cost like 25-50 wood made in a shop or by a builder and works exactly like ladders did (assassin's creed reference) this will very much help with jumps map

    I'm interested in seeing how trampolines will work. Will they break if jumped on from too high? Will you be able to double bounce other players and objects? I just hope trampolines don't end up being a disappointment. I have an image in my head of charging a catapult, picking it up, jumping on the trampoline with catapult in hand, then releasing the cata at the top of my jump.
    I imagine that wouldn't go to well. As of now, kegs can be set off by having something with a good amount of momentum crashing into them. Rolling a boulder down a slope at a keg on a ramp would probably just make the keg explode on contact with the boulder instead of launching it into space.

    I have to admit, this is a wierd development. Whats the point of these irregular blocks?
    What made you guys decide on developing these into the game in the first place?

    I mean, the lack of stairs was never an issue and steep slopes to keep enemies away doesn't sounds like much if a vertical wall does the job already. Not to mention how are you supposed to build ladders or team bridges to climb it?

    The way I see it, the only real use I see for irregular blocks is a yet more stronger castle wall to withstand explosion and cata rocks more efficiently, but even then it doesn't make much sense, since you could just have an upgrade option for single stone blocks to make them into reinforced stone blocks. This system just seem to make things much more complicated for you to code and for the game to handle properly. If I were you, I'd focus on features that further add to the game that already works, like fire, boats, siege weapons, neutral wildlife, improving zombie mode and so on.

    Don't mean to insult your work you've done so far for this, but what you're doing doesn't seem like the most realistic option to do, considering that there was a mention of an external deadline a while back.

    You mentioned you were already accused of being a hacker due to poor ping, and I'd like to take a moment to bring attention to this. Not to subtract from your efforts or blame you guys. I know you must already have a LOT on your plate, however, ping really is kind of a huge factor in KAG and effects how the combat plays out much more than many think. I'm not sure exactly how it works, obviously (I'm no game dev), but many people do not even realize how much of a factor it really is and just how much it effects the gameplay, but as far as knight combat goes, it most certainly does. I've been playing KAG for a little while now and I can think of absolutely nothing, in this game, that frustrates me more than seeing someone who is skilled, fail due to ping, or seeing someone who is garbage, succeed due to ping. I'm sure anyone who plays this frequently enough knows exactly what I'm talking about, especially the devs, or so I hope.

    I certainly HOPE I am not the only one experiencing these situations! I mean... Sometimes I'd say it's just straight out broken, with what is SUPPOSED to happen only ACTUALLY happening about 70% of the time in some cases. Slashes not registering, long distance stabs, people constantly teleporting around from where they were or where they were going, etc, etc. It's hard to fight someone when the laws of physics you adhere to, do not necessarily apply to your opponents 100% of the time. It's even annoying when your opponent is not experiencing this at all for some reason or another, and seems to think that their victory is due to some amazing amount of skill on their part, or failure on your part, as you look like a derp trying block a bomb or a knight that isn't even there on their screen. There are variables , of course, and this scenario is not what is happening all of the time, but it is certainly prevalent enough to bring it to ones attention, in my humble opinion.

    I just want to know what your plans are on this, if there are any at all, or if this is even something that can actually be addressed in the first place. If this has already been addressed in the past and I just wasn't paying any attention, I apologize, but would appreciate a recap or at least having my hand slapped and my nose shoved into the proper thread, as is the internet's way.

    Edit: It has been brought to my attention that this may be seen as off-topic. I assert that this comment can be seen at LEAST half on-topic due to the fact it refers to future updates, game mechanics that involve client and server-side changes that are being made to the game and how the ones we already have don't always work as it is. I mean, slopes and trampolines are great and all, but I think it is more important to fix your car before you start putting 11-inch rims on it. If your car's brakes don't always work and the throttle randomly accelerates when it feels like it, then I don't really care how much bass you got in the back "homie". However if I am actually off-topic, then I will remove this upon request and find a better place to put it. Thank you for reading.

    On-topic, i agree with Reactorcore, structures are already obscenely broken to attack as-is in any decent level of gameplay, slopes are just gonna cause a LOT of problems from what I'm thinking. Not crazy about this development at all.
    I DO however like the sound of trampolines, but the incorporation with momentum is a little to much outside of your own game mode idea.
    I hope all this is easily a server-side variable, because i would rather the game as-is, than adding some odd features that in my opinion are out-of-place.
    Looking forward to the siege machines and fire/wind in the future though, as those fit the game more.

    I think your funny, asking the devs yo get rid of ping, maybe if everyone who plays KAG were all connected and you played LAN, this would never be possible. You will still get laggy bastards from Australia playing on an Aus server. You can't simply get rid of ping. You could make it use less internet by taking out most features, problem solved.

    I don't really like these new blocks since I don't know how this can be usefull. We are not in Minecraft, we don't need useless blocks..
    I only enjoy this next feature for these new physics.

    You have misunderstood my entire query, and only actually read half of it apparently. It is not so much the ping itself, but as to how the game reacts to it. There will always be lag, but the problem isn't always lag itself, but how the game itself interprets the information given and received between the client and the server. Long story short, it isn't if there is lag, it is how the game handles it, which is as of right now. Not great. For instance, there is lag in other games such as Call of Duty or Minecraft, but when I play those, I don't feel like I am cheated by it. The amount that lag effects the outcome is usually minimal as long as it is not outrageous. (As in ping 300 and upwards) However in Kag, you could have everyone with reasonable ping, and you will still see errors in combat and other places. Of course this could be due to the nature of the gameplay itself, but that is exactly why I asked the question, and not to sound condescending, but I do not think you are equipped with the knowledge to answer said question based on your response. No offense.
