    As monsteri said, there will be classic mode, which is the game how it is now, keep in mind these updates and physics changes are only for gold users, classic will be the f2p mode.

    iirc, we'll still just click to place blocks

    No, as dirt and other such things are staying like they are, only built tiles are being changed to this new system

    I wonder what is on the Devs' to-do list atm. What are we to expect in the next update and when will it be? within a month? 2 months? i surely hope those security levels can be implemented sooner then this as it will help a lot more then these objects seen here. alas it is only my opinion

    I kinda feel like machines will be odd in this game, as we need road for that, i figure i should bring it up.
    As for portal mod, could happen im sure, but i feel like this will turn into more of a grappling hook ninja mod, where people build fortresses like mazes and the enemies try and infiltrate it.
    At least, i hope such a mod comes out eventually.

    just because I dont want to create a thread for this,
    is there gonna be a gold zombie and deathmatch?
    I'd like to use wood in zombie mode, because stone is scarce.
    or to push those damn henries into the water drowning them.
    (I KNOW there already is gold zombie, but I mean with wood)
    second question:
    is water going to be across the whole map, or will you guys make it form in open spaces only?
    its so annoying not to be able to dig anymore...
    I mean, who the fuck ever came up with the idea that water should be able to go right through a chunk of stone!?

    I think he was asking whether new physics were coming to gold CTF as well as war mode, I would have thought CTF in both forms will keep the original physics code, however I also imagine that server owners will be able to chop and choose alot of options anyway, so you'll see all sorts of shit afterwards, especially with all the variables that seem like they're gonna be moddable with the new physics code.

    If water was a block instead of a layer, the devs would need to code new physics so that it could flow. Not to mention it would lag the server to shit if you had all these different blocks moving at once.

    I wouldn't say terraria water was shit.. I thought it was great in single player.
    But yes, in multiplayer it often was 'shit'.

    I doubt they'd roll unless you placed them, I hope they will anyway, not that it'll have much purpose most of the time.

    Wasn't that bad? Whenever we had 7 or 8 people on a terraria server the water would stop flowing, and after 5-10 mins it'd finally settle, other times it'd just stop completely. Not to mention the terrible lag that would take place during all this.

    On topic: Is the "Large Structures Float" glitch ever going to be fixed? Perhaps it could be that man-made blocks never float (unless they were created using editor), and natural blocks like dirt always float? Those maps in RTDM where you destroy a single tile to destroy the whole map, instantly killing every knight that didn't know how to surf waves of collapsing blocks...
