Server configuration tool with a GUI

On the app itself you can set it to any number in the range 50301-50304. I use 50302.

The port you use in the app (e.g. 50302) needs to be forwarded in UDP.

If you mean that installing the .NET framework throws an error, then I can't help you with that.
Google a solution, .NET 2.0 should be supported on Windows XP.

Is anyone else having problems setting seclevs using this? o,o I've noticed that "Reserved / Spectator" slots aren't working either, even when I edit the configs normally.

 

At this moment, the app can't be used to configure the security levels, this must be done manually.
However, the app itself doesn't intervene with the security levels, so if you set them up correctly, you shouldn't have problems.
This has been tested to work.

I've set up the security levels manually AND the reserved / spectator slots, but they both don't work >_< Bah!

 

Have you tested it without using the configuration tool? You just have to run dedicatedserver.bat to get a RTDM server to test it.
If it works or not, tell me about it. But there's no reason for the app to interfere with seclevels.

 

That's a good point. I've always relied on the Server GUI Tool for *ALL* of my server needs. o,o

Result: No seclevs there either. I guess I did something wrong somewhere, but I'm not sure what.. o,o

Edit: Success! Though, no luck on the reserved / spectator slots.

 

Ask for help in the server forum. I think I remember that reserved slots wasn't working. Get help there.

If the seclevels are working using dedicatedserver.bat, then you should be OK to continue using the GUI, since there probably was a problem in your configuration. In the future, I'll add seclevs managemente thorugh the app :)

 

Yeah, I got it working. Does reserved slots work through the app though? o,o I thought it completely replaced the config file while hosting..

 

Nothing related to security levels is currently supported. Eventually I hope to do it, but currently I'm very busy.

 

Last I checked, reserved levels were set in the main config, not the seclev config, which is what I think the server tool is replacing. o,o

 

Regardless of where are they configured, these features are not supported at this time.

 

Once i finished maqqs configuration tool fillout sheet it said error need to do it as admin on windows vista/7 or re-install in a cdr i reinstalled but it still didnt work but i dont want to buy the windows 7 or vista is there another way?

 

I keep getting the error "Server crashed, restarting..." on a Mac. Followed the Linux instructions and it got me to the interface but I can't start the server without it crashing

 

Thanks for the info, I'm actually not sure if you can run a server on OSX at all. Seems not.

* How To Use *
Extract the contents of the zip file to your KAG (or KAG server) folder
On Windows start the app double clicking the file KAGServer.exe
On Linux start the app executing the RunKAGServerCT.sh script on a terminal window
On Mac OS X, try the same as in Linux and let me know if it works
Hit F1 for help! (on Windows at least)

I started the Server and It didn't show up On the server list, What do i do?

 

Check your firewall/router configuration. You have to forward 50301/udp in your router and allow it in your firewall.

 

When I start server it crashes, PF 50301 succesfully.
