Signature rules.

We need rules for signatures. (I rhyme. :D)
I'll give an example of awful signatures in forums (in terms of my personal feeling what should be against rules):
Rainbow's signature - it's too wide and animated which distracts people.
Valkyries custom HA signature - too wide.
Loki's - too much text.

I'm not doing anything against it yet - but the greatest sin is "eating" precious forums' space + making distracting signatures.

I have to think of something to prevent this - maybe forcing people to use smaller text in signatures? I don't know. Posting it in public to discuss.

tags - then everyone who is concerned if his sig is too big could just put it in spolier tags (and have there like whole page high singature...).

Also in earlier posts - saying "wide" I didn't mean width, it was meant to be height, so proper word would be "high", right?

There weren't so far any rules specifying how to handle sigs. But lately seeing that people's signatures take more place than post itself made me kind of irritated. That's why I came up with this discussion here. I don't want to dictate rules again so I decided to ask you what rules would you like to see here (of course final decision will be up to me/Shadlington). I know I can just turn off displaying of signatures altogether in my profile options but I prefer to see them. You know what's my general idea of signature rules - read what I wrote here and there in thread. I want to hear your opinions, too.

I like spoilers idea most. That's why I suggested it.

 

Aoki's definitely is too big. As to rest they could be shorter.
