Stronghold 3/know a good strategy?

Anyone else excited it comes out in a few days i love strategy games and always loved all the Stronghold games.Also while im here post any good strategy games you know.

 

It doesnt look like they changed much besides the graphics a tiny bit but w.e I'm still going to buy it probably. And the total war series is my favorite strategy game.

 

Hey Overlord do you have Shogun 2?

 

I love Total War but they screwed up Empires:(.Shogun was good though.

 

Nah, I dont have shogun because I heard too many bad reviews and the game dident look that good, but im still probably going to buy it since its in the total war series and might turn out good with my own experience.

 

Speaking of "too many bad reviews", how is Stronghold 3? I loved the first one (particularly Duke de Puce!), but I hear the third is ripe with droll gameplay and poor design. I kind of just want to see it for the plot. I'm weird like that.

So, that being said-
How's the plot?
How are the new antagonists?
Does the game maintain the original's humor?
and, Does the gameplay really suck that badly?

 

Its very buggy and multi didny work on launch they said all would be fixd in patches which some was and we would get free content updates.Its coming together slowly but i would wait.Not worth 60 bucks.The gameplay sucking is due to mouse bugs.But its not as bad as people say.People QQ about a little thing more than they should.Alot of games arent perfect on lauch look at Rage.

 

Yeah, I have a good strategy, take the game and throw it in the toilet, because with terrible GUI, retarded AI, lack of skirmish, small free build maps, its really not worth buying. And this is coming from a true hardcore Stronghold player.

 

Stronghold 2 is better but is hard (dam rats and trash)
I know an strategy but only in stronghold 2 not 3

 

In my opinion, Stronghold Crusader was my favorite.

 

The Age Of Empires series is good.

 

And so is Total War, C&C, and Men of War.

 

While we're suggesting alternative RTSes to drown out the pure suck of Stronghold 3(and 2 to a lesser degree), we must also remember:
Majesty.
Total Annihilation.
Supreme Commander.
Dark Reign.
Warcraft 3.
Starcraft.
GeneWars.
Knights and Merchants. (and the faithful Remake that a good friend of mine is working on!)
AI War: Fleet Command. (Yeah, I've been pimping this like crazy, but with good reason. :p
Company of Heroes.
Multiwinia.

Has anyone heard of o a.d.(Zero A.D.), it is a strategy game that is being made by a handful of people who work only in their free time, so progress is slow and they will be giving it for free when they are done. They have some Alphas that you can download and play a little but they are still working on it and probably will for some time.

 

I've got Rome: Total War. Pretty good.

 

I have played many of those and many are very good.
