Safe to say that even with glasses that broke yesterday I can still somewhat read, so i'm getting the bad out of KAG without getting any of the good. Playing isn't fun because I can't see, and the only thing I can see is people harassing me, whining, or the occasional cool person like Potatobird or Kedram or Jimmyzoud.

Gonna take a break from kag for a week or so, or at least until I get my glasses fixed, kags hurting my eyes and brain.

 

I loved this game.

I thought it was the best thing when I bought it on sale on steam when I was 12. I thought I would never get bored with it. Ever. I never did get bored with it. 3 years I played it, I played builder in tth us. Those days were the best I think I ever had with this game. Me and my good friend trolling people, backdooring, bomb jumping, ballista bolt “intercepting”. I don’t think there is any other time in my life where I can look back and laugh and smile. Pretty soon Bunnyfection got popular and was the cool thing to play. I always remembered wanting armor in Bunnyfection. I wanted it so bad. So are started fiddling with the mods angelscript files. After a half a year of meeting a ton of awesome people and really establishing my server I learned and was pretty good at modding. Then Bunnyfection started to die out.


After that I started fiddling with other gamemodes, made scrambleTDM, Boulder Archers, various quirky map packs, sea wars, and other things. I then started focusing on certain mods like sea wars, factions, and MOBA. Everything was going good. Then something clicked. I don’t know if it was me changing or everyone else changing, but everyone started to seem so hostile. I got a ton of hate for not hosting factions and hosting MOBA, it just seemed like everyone despised me. It was terrible. Luckily I had made enough friends so I could still talk to people. I joined a few clans, did my best to help out some people with hosting servers, made a few mods for people. I just tried to contribute. At the time the whole “Kag is dying, Kag is dead” was starting up. Being my young rebel self I was blinded by optimism and I thought, “Kag isn't dying, Kag isn't dead.” I originally believed that they meant that the game was losing players, which it was, but that wasn't the real problem. The problem lied on the inside.


Kag’s developers didn’t seem to care for the game. They created a failure known as Trench Run, and tried to force success out of it. Trench Run is ok, it just wasn’t nearly as fun as Kag. Instead of working on their major success, Kag, they seemed to just go work on other projects or other things. Kag had so much potential. It HAD so much potential. The Devs aren’t the only problem. Only a handful of the admins actually deserve admin. The others just use it as a bragging right and a reason to ban people that are better than them @Mazey . Others do nothing at all, and simply ignore issues on servers.


I like to think that I contributed to the community, by making mods, being admin on servers, introducing 5 friends and people to the game, and generally just talking to new players and trying to get them over Kags brutal learning curve. I know most of you will say bullshit, that I’m just a badmin factions 11 year old player on the internet getting mad over something I can’t control, in which case you are probably right. Since I am leaving I guess I should say this too. 2 and a half years ago @Mazey I made a private tdm server called “Bunnyfections testing”. I let Lord billioniar and KingOfAwesome join. I messed around with cheat engine on the server and on my client. We had a great time. After which I used cheat engine on a game called magicite then deleted it and never used it again. I WILL get banned for the above statment, so I guess here is my good bye to you all. To the people I tag I want to say that you have made playing Kag 1000% better. You all have in some way helped me have fun and have a good day. I will probably play once in a while from here on out, but not to frequently.

I loved this game. But not anymore.

I'm an oldfag who is back under a new account, I'm fairly certain that I'm one of the oldest people here other than the devs, admins and some of the mods.

Ah so this is what you're referring to.
You seem to be misunderstood, I don't have banning powers, the only person that does is Furai. The ban you're talking about was not going to get lifted, whether I intervened or not, I simply stated that he admitted cheating, which added up to the video evidence. I'm certainly not interested in getting people better than me banned.

I usually just went along with whatever he did in the past because it's the oldest excuse in the book, but I can assure everyone that the majority of the stupid things that he did were not, in fact, me.

I believe we're just about from the same generation, I bought KAG around about build 180, 190

Oh and I forgot to say, the snails that are currently running my internet got a payrise, so they've stopped having so many tea-breaks (I'll be on moar). Unfortunately they still get distracted whenever someone picks up the phone...
