What is one small change that could improve the current build drastically? [1180]

    I should clarify a bit.

    Tickets should be a game mode, I agree. I still don't understand why this is such a contentious issue. It was the gold standard for 2 years. Our competitive leagues were built around it, and it was a loved feature by a substantial portion of the community. Bringing back the game mode takes nothing away from unlimited tickets. If they had taken away the option to make servers with unlimited tickets and said "tickets are the only option now", I bet many people would have been pretty discouraged. Think of it from a different point of view.

    It is very easy for me right now to build a tramp cannon before the game has even started, buy a drill, switch to knight, buy a landmine, grab a chicken, and end the game in under a minute. Even the best castle is easily traversed or destroyed. Again, if that's the point, then I won't be making posts like this again.

    If the target audience for Beta is not concerned with closer class balance, then its probably best to keep it as it is. The way it is now is fun in a lot of ways. Like a Big Sandbox. It's loud and chaotic and goofy. But I don't believe it's a balanced game.

    Your post was pretty rude. You assume so much of me, instead of considering the implications of the suggestions. If they are bad suggestions that's fine, that's what we are here to discuss, but tell me why. I didn't see a single counterpoint or suggestion in your entire response. Calling something a feature is a cop out. Defend your opinion with substance.

    Are you saying that wall climbing as it is, knights and archers using drills, and gliding across the entire map unimpeded are intended features that need no tweaking or balancing?

    As long as it doesn't replace normal kag, I agree with everything you said. I would miss goofy sandbox normal kag.

    @Geti add tickets as an optional game mode I think everyone here can agree that it would be tons of fun and it shouldn't need to be permanent for all gamemodes, rather just another feature

  4. @Rayne has a ticket system on his server Action Classic KAG, very fun
    Needs to be perfected though, a few minor bugs but if Rayne puts his mind to it I'm sure he can get it to work

    ok your right that was rude when i replied to you, i admit saying it seems as if its rude telling devs to take out those things they made, but i understand now, its true that just because it is a feature doesnt mean it actually needs to be, the devs did infact make this game to make money and please its players, but i still disagree with the ideas you had to replace these bad features, i think the devs should just nerf it, like when parachuting you actually fall faster and just make gravity apply a little more so wall jumping takes more time and effort, your right in certain aspects in my point of view, and yeah it is pretty ironic how my reply to you saying your post was rude was rude its self, and im sorry if you are offended in any way.

    I think that archers would be more balanced if their arrows side not cost so much. I think that the reason that archers are not played more is because they require much more skill than a knight and it takes a long time to get enough coins for arrows. Let's be honest, a knight has to only spend 25 coins for a bomb. One bomb could allow that knight to bomb jump into an enemy base and slaughter the enemy team giving the knight more than enough gold to spend on kegs or any other expensive items. An archer has to spend 50 coins for 1 bomb arrow... And considering he's so squishy he has to be careful or else he might die before he is even able to use it. Bomb arrows are extremely strong don't get me wrong, but I feel that it would be more beneficial if it's price was reduced substantially or you were given more arrows for a 50 coin purchase. The way to counteract this buff would be to nerf the damage of the arrows itself. The archer is a very strong under played class, but I can see why people get discouraged from wanting to play it. The more arrows someone gets from purchasing with coins the more accomplished they feel. I know that when I'm a knight I love to be able to buy 3 bombs and a mine just because it tells me I'm doing good on the frontlines.

    The only other idea I have would be is if you made it so there were assists in the game and every assist you got granted you extra coins. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten kills stolen.

    I don't think bomb arrows should be buffed in any aspect, as two or three archers with bomb arrows can effectively topple any tower with minimal backwall. If they're going to be cheaper, have them only damage stone instead of for sure breaking it. Or allow it to break 2 or just one stone so as it takes more aim to actually drop a tower.

    Few quick ideas that I'm sure Geti has balances for in the near future:
    1. make saws immobile or what I like better, very heavy and not being able to be thrown far. The idea of having them immobile really sucks for farming necessary wood at the start of the game.

    2. invisible mines obviously need to be fixed, and possibly the triggering effects looked at as well. Many times mines explode for no obvious reason, and it's a real detriment to knights (or builders) who are trying to break them.

    3. dirt and bedrock absorbing all of the mines explosive force is really annoying when the entire map is full of dirt and you need to destroy an enemy base with it. A fix would be the dirt only absorbing the force from the mine in its direction, while the rest of the mine's force is still being applied to the environment around it.
    [also, mines are pretty OP anyway at this point and should be more expensive, ignoring this fix]

    4. the boulder launch glitch where you buy a bunch from the shop and bounce off of as knight needs to be patched, I realize crates were but boulders are still effective means of griefing.

    5. boulder mechanics need to be tweaked, especially things like upwards boulder tosses killing people and boulders being thrown from directly beside someone having enough force to kill them.

    6. water arrows need to be more expensive, as the 20 gold buy price is far too low and gives archers a massive advantage in group play with their knights present. This isn't necessarily a negative thing, but when it's so cheap it definitely is.

    7. wood platforms need to be less strong, as they have become the go-to for builder spam and base protection. They take far too long to break as knight, and scaling them is just a general nuisance as the normal wall scaling doesn't work whatsoever (and it really should)

    8. remove trampolines entirely, or nerf them in some manner so as to stop trampoline cannon spam. This is the deciding factor in a lot of games I play, and it's wholly unfair and ruins the game

    9. remove chicken wall climbing or nerf somehow because it is far too easy to get into someone's base (switch between holding right and left repeatedly, rinse, repeat)

    10. fix the bug where archers can grapple through a solid wooden platform (or grapple through a one block opening to grab the flag)

    11. something needs to be done about door glitching in general, but I'm not sure how doable it is

    12. drills should be builder only

    13. and possibly the biggest fix, but mainly has to do with the map layout itself, is nerfing tunneling somehow. Tunneling is becoming the "norm" for capturing flags and isn't fun in the slightest. It's a real pain in the ass to stop a team of builders and knights from tunneling underneath the flag and grabbing it easily and really takes away from the fun aspects of the game that so many of us enjoy. Many will say it's a valid method of flag capture, and I'm not arguing that, but it really does just ruin the experience. I have no idea how this could be approached, it's just something to think about I guess.

    Sorry for the wall of text, but this is everything that I know is rage-inducing or unfair/unbalanced in the game.

    ???Also, quick idea I just had to negate the possible negatives of bad trap spam. What if builders could temporarily "turn off" trap blocks so they act just like normal blocks? Or maybe even allowing builders to make trap blocks of both teams colours? ::D:

    The only reason I think arrows should be cheaper is because archers make small income over a large period of time. I think that it would encourage more people to play archers if they had the freedom to use multiple arrows. If they made arrows cheaper they should nerf the power of the arrows but this it what would allow for a more balanced archer class

    I think that bomb arrows should send a knight into the air in the opposite direction if the knight is shielding, similar to how a bomb explosion allows a knight to bombjump. This is a small nerf to bomb arrows against knights however if the knight is not shielding and gets directly hit he should die instantly (similar if he were to mess up a bombjump). The way to balance this would be to have bomb arrows be cheaper or you get more than 1 when you buy it. You might also have to decrease it's damage against buildings once you decrease the price. What would be even cooler would be is if friendly archers could send friendly knights really far by shooting their shield.

    There are bots, have you not played save the princess?

    If you can only count nine players on all servers total then you're either playing classic or filtering for only sandbox mode. Check all game modes, all modded servers, etc. and there'll always be something to play.

    If you collapse a building and the falling blocks kill enemy players, those kills should be counted towards you because you are the direct cause of those players getting killed. (Instead of them just dying of rubble).

    Same thing with bombs. If you throw a bomb at a player who has a lit bomb in their hand and the explosion of your bomb causes that persons bomb to explode thus killing them, that kill should be counted towards you also because you are the cause of them dying. (Currently KAG displays that person of dying of a suicide).

    I hate it when spikes that are placed on stone blocks have a glitched texture where they look like they are popped up even though they really arent.

    If you have an inventory full of regular arrows and you walk over a spec arrow, the spec arrow should replace one of the regulars.

    Holy shit, this so much please. I can't tell you how many times I've spawned as archer and picked up 120 arrows and can't even buy special arrows without wasting time throwing them away.

    Great suggestion!
