Word Box Broken?

    Alright, so, ever since I have first installed this game, the Text-Box (The thing where people type) has always been on the bottom of the screen, which has always been very convenient for me, since MOST games, have their text on the Bottom, not the Top. Now, I've been screwing around with texture packs and mods, and usually I just reinstall the game when I mess up. But THIS time, when I reinstalled, I started playing the game and the box was on the TOP, obscuring the entire screen when I try to type.

    Anyways, if anybody could help me, that'd be greatly appreciated. Oh, and some people say that this is normal? Well, then how do I make it different D:<
