Dad is Solaris, but Solaris may be my favorite admin just because me and @jimster6000 call random people "Dad" all the time, and when I first saw Solaris with that username I freaked out.

I get really salty when people see any structure that isn't a slab of stone blocks, and then automatically break it and convert it to a useless brick.

I had a swegtastic time on the new factions server. Kryptic and me started off as a 2 person team in a big castle-like structure. Then we had to mine huge amounts of stone to make stone mills. We fixed up the castle and made it too stronk. Then we signed Trugget (for a 1 year contract of 30 million euros per 6 months). He did the dirty work like piss off enemies and occasionally defend from this purple dude. New people looked at our too stronk keep and Trugget's strength and started to join our tribe. We steamrolled everyone. We eventually won with 9 players (I think) and 10 stonemills. It was awesome.

My favorite type of building is making a wall of two wooden doors, one stone block on top of those doors, then 3 platforms on top, then one stone block. Then I continue to add layers to that wall or else I move ahead and make another version of that wall. What sucks though, any new players will immediately sit there spamming the  emote like it's a bad building, then archers just decide to door fight instead of utilize the platform and ladders that I made for them. I think it's a more basic version of a building style called "Windmill"? But i'm not sure, I just make them quickly to try and force enemy knights back and make it awkward for enemy archers, while simutaneously making our archers safe.

When you say "No wood" you're pretty much stating that you have "No brain". Wood is 4 economic building and is my fav resource <3

Platforms are pretty much the best block, and yeah it also pisses me off when people mess around in the doors rather than go over the wall. I actually block off the doors sometimes with backwards platforms to force my team to go over the tower. You get the height advantage and if you screw up you don't let the enemy in! Just use the damn tower, that's what it's there for!

Gentlemen let me tell you a short tale, a tale from one of the only games on that goddamn bowl map that I've ever enjoyed
This... is the Tale of the Termites
(and by tell you a tale i mean give you this hastily edited video)

I'd put this in Media, but I guess that's like a sub-sub-sub forum now or something?

Over the past week I've had a number of Americans or European players try to join our AUS servers. I swear they are so stupid.
Because of their 500+ ping they either 1) call everyone laggers 2) blame the server or 3) "Man, Australian servers are so shit, I can connect to the U.S. Ones with great ping", then when asked where they are from, "oh I'm from New York". ...............

Today on a CTF server our team was getting curb stomped other than for arsenic who was doing all the knight work and kicking ass. I voted to surrender as they had builders on top of our flag, rats tunneling right below it with a builders shop and drills, knights every which way, and arsenic as the only competent knight and me being the only one building. The vote failed but it's a good thing it failed, arsenic managed to knock out almost everybody giving me enough breathing room to make a path to the rats and to move up and make walls. After this happened the game completely changed in our favor. Mental note, you can always recover if you use the super power of teamwork. :D

Reasons never to touch my building
    1. You might think putting a stone door in the flagroom middle is smart, but it is basically just a waste of time. If a knight gets up there you should be able to kill him or you're shit and should lose anyway
    2. You might think you're smart by turning the door climby ladder wally thing(doors+ladder under the platform overhang) into a door hallway, but you're not. The whole point of an overhang is so the enemy cannot wall off the ledge and gg from the top. If you make it into a door hallway they can cover up the 2 platforms above and do what i just explained.
    3. Never remove my platforms "so we can actually get back" because i have doors placed by them for that exact reason(though i dont use the front w doors atop the flagroom anymore too messy, tedious, and works wonky when i had the topper)
    4. "no wood". If you ever find yourself wanting to say that as a reason to alter my building, drink bleach.
    5. Never Ever i mean Ever "fill the holes" in my building. If after build time my tower has "holes in it" it is for a reason. I've lost countless games where i was solo keeping the flagroom together because some future ivy league genius though "hey let me fill this guy's hole for him since he obviously doesnt know what he's doing"
    6. Replacing wood doors with stone is great if you want to protect the doors in the flagroom(as im usually not up to throwing 50 stone at a door), but do not ever waste time trying to fix my building and fail. That is the worst feeling ever, having to watch a retard waste 5 minute NOT accomplishing anything because he thinks you need help. Replacing the doors to the left of the flagroom is the stupidest thing ever(thank god ive never seen anyone try to replace them with stone, though several tards have tried to strip them for no reason). The doors at the top of the flagroom are safe unless a builder gets up there(and in that case does it really matter if it is stone or wood?)

If you're playing pub matches you shouldn't expect to be able to get away with incredibly complex building styles or convenient setups. I've played numerous matches where people have made multiple copies of the same shop, never covered up their shops, and have put a trap block bridge right in front of the flag without putting anything in or putting platforms. I've also had matches where people don't even know anything about how walls work and i've seen people dig a gigantic pit right in front of the flag stating it's the "Best defense" when really one builder can just build ladders up to the flag in 5 seconds and we're constantly taking fall damage from the shitty pit. They also spend 10 minutes digging this pit instead of being productive in other areas. I've also had brand new players call me an idiot for building a diagonal tower that blocks off bombs, bomb jumpers, builders making ladders upwards, etc. The only time i'll get really salty with my team about this kinda stuff though is when they build something that does nothing but harm our team or when they do nothing, as it's essentially griefing. I'd suggest getting used to it as no matter what there's going to be brand new players or those who are new to the builder class.

So it's impossible to expect many things from them.

Well them not listening proves more immaturity and nubbiness than anything else. Again, i've had plenty of people not cover up their shops and when I ask them to they just run from the shop, then if I ask them to put ladders down, they don't. I've had archers who when I ask them to make an arrow ladder they decide to not listen. Many new people don't look at chat, they instead try to be clever and use emotes to converse when in reality they look like fucking morons and are taking up more time than necessary.

-Also: Shnitz is a noob pubbie :D
