Their awful smell is more than enough of a defense in my opinion.

I decided to try some tunneling tactics *shot*.
It was going really well. I had a nice passage tucked away at the bottom of the map, and it actually helped our team push forward when the enemy had us pinned at the base. But of course, soon everyone wants in on some tunneling action, and the flag gets left ungaurded and in turn; captured. I also realised a really neat tactic: Outpost insertion. y'know when you build an outpost but the roof is too low, and it goes crawling through the ceiling? Yeah, interesting tactic to experiment with.

A nifty skybridge that of course got taken out by just a single bomb.

People really do need to learn to properly fortify a skybridge so they can survive bombs and catapults.

You mean like putting a 5 block thick background wall with one or two rows of stone in the front for the first 20 blocks up?

    People are too lazy.

Well that and multiple layers of foreground blocks. That'll survive the bombs, but not the catapults.

That was the point of the rows of stone. Usually Skybridges start near OPs, so a builder will most likely usually be there for repair if they have to do so.

Nono, multiple layers on the bridge itself, not the supporting structure.

Just had the worst match I've ever had, and we won.

Me and Flodepo, (some random knight) held off an entire team of ten, and even pushed back and took an OP. We were kicking ass. But where was the rest of our team?

    Underground, tunneling to the flag.

We defended against ten men, and not one other person can come and assist. They had captured our flag several times, and if it weren't for flodepo, we would have lost.

Our entire team of eight remaining men were all taking their sweet time tunneling to the flag, and it worked. That sooo needs to be punishable. I feel like I cheated. :(

That same Flodepo was griefing (throwing bombs inside his main base) on some other server today. Strange those people are.

Just spent a half hour constructing an underground one-block thick tunnel providing super-speedy travel from one side of the map to the other... Which works wonderfully (albeit not very well going from left-to-right)

I should really show you some screenshots. Its kind of awesome.
The one block thickness is the source of its power.

I dont get how you do horizontal tunnels...but I do understand the glitchy vertical ones....more like fast elevators! :D

What is this I don't even...

(What this screeny doesn't convey is the amount of jiggling going on)
