KAG Zombie server question...

So I saw "Beo's Zombie Server" today and wanted to play but when I clicked it, it said that my computer had to download some files or whatever. I have a Mac, equipped with Mavericks. Is it gonna hurt my computer to "download" the "file" thingamajigs?

As with anything, you are rightly wary about downloading files from unknown source. However, Beo's server have been around for a good while and I have no doubt that those files are safe. That being said, no, it will not harm your computer. You should of course continue to be cautious when it comes to downloading anything. A good thing to do before downloading files is to check and see if the mod is in the resources section of the forum or if it has been mentioned anywhere else on the forum.

 

But Beo's is safe, right? It's in the resources section and all?

 

While it isn't in the resources section, Beo would never have a server that has you download virus laden files. He has been running various servers since 2011 and has a good reputation in the community from what I've seen.

 

It's impossible to get viruses from downloading a mod, because KAG won't be able to run the virus on your computer so it will just sit there unless you run it.

Well, I'm sorry, but if I have a detailed question, I'm not gonna spend half my day searching for every thread that could possibly have the answer in some little obscure place.

 

Well its part of the rules soooooooooooooooooooooo, tough shit.

 

Also, there's a search bar. Throw in a couple keywords, alter the search a bit, repeat.
That will give you*maybe* ten threads were it isn't immediately apparent that your princess is in another castle the thread does or doesn't ask your question. Takes 2-3 minutes, tops.

 

How does it help to search anyway? Stops "clogging"? . . .
